Finished it. It's actually not so bad, though I think they should have revolved around the story of the serial killer (Tom Arnold) than the personal problems of the cop (Judd Nelson). Tom played his character exquisitely well even if the role he portrayed was not given enough time to develop.

That was what I thought when I heard Robin Williams was going to play a serial killer. But he did a really good job

That was what I thought too when I read from the cast list that he will be playing the serial killer, but he did give a good performance and he made the character creepy enough. I actually wished he was given more time to really develop the role, but the focus was on the wrong character, so it evolved more on the drama of Nelson's personal crisis. Pity too, because the story had potential and it would have been a nice breakthrough for Arnold as an actor.

Finished watching this and the movie was decent enough. The concept of the story reminded me so much of Vanishing on 7th Street, which came years later(2010) from when this movie was made (2002). The daughter (Anna Paquin) looks so much like a younger version of Claire Danes in this film.

I liked the concept in Vanishing On 7th Street more since it had kind of an end of the world thing going, I like movies where whole populations disappear- but I was ultimately disappointed in Vanishing, especially because I was hoping for more out of Brad Anderson who gave us Session 9.

Loved the concept behind Vanishing, but got disappointed in the end. It as like the movie was building up for something and just fell short.

I love the original...cheesy and sleazy and I love Italian movies that try to look American.
