DESTINATION TRUTH
Season 3

The island of the dolls is a good episode. lol. Funny! You think they're for real? It seems that they are awfully successful most of the time.

I think so...though there are times I say to myself "Convenient" when they say that the government won't let them take out evidence that they've found.

Another good episode is when they investigate at Chernobyl, showing all the checkpoints they had to go through just to get there.

Oh, yeah. I've already seen that episode. Nice one.

Yeah, sometimes it's so convenient that they immediately solve something on their first and only day of investigation when other investigators have been trying for more than they have.

You're very welcome.

If you like the movie after you watch it and have a spare dollar, support them by buying a movie frame. These people believe in making good movies for everyone to watch for free. :)

LAST RITES OF THE DEAD

IMDb Reviews:

"...follows the adventures of Angela, a girl killed by her abusive boyfriend, finding herself resurrected as one of the undead, and coming under discrimination in her new incarnation. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend has joined an anti-zombie hate group that hunts them down and kills them. Too many images of American flags, as though they want to equate America with intolerance..."

"Firstly, I would like to say that I have seen many, many zombie films.

A few of them were great, but most are poor, samey and just rip ideas from other films.

Last Rites of the Dead was completely different. The story line was like a breath of fresh air, and a completely new take on the genre.

There are a few scenes where the budget is obvious, but for the most part the f/x are quite impressive for an indie flick of this nature. (Although I will say look out for the bit of white fluff that is supposed to be something else!)

The acting was energetic and passionate, without being over the top or false, and the dialogue was quite realistic. A credit to the script writer, and whoever did the casting.

All in all, a good way to spend an hour and a half, and even if you are not a zombie fan, but have the stomach, it's worth watching as the film makes you think about how you treat people that are different to you.

An interesting and entertaining way to make important social commentary. "

In the movie Last Rites of the Dead or Zombie Anonymous, the zombies are not aggressive. They continue to be the same person they were when they were living, except they're dead and walking. Some people actually become the violators and attack the zombies who are just begging to be left alone. It's like a whole new level of "racism", which made me wonder...

If zombies like this were like this, would you be willing to incinerate your undead loved one?

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction

Life is wonderful for the people in the quiet, island town of Port Gamble....until a zombie virus outbreak!

IMDb review:

I think with a title like this "Zombies of Mass Destruction" many people are going to pass on this movie, which would be a bad thing to do. I was doubtful about the movie, just because of the name, but I decided to watch it anyway.

Alright, well this is a marvelous zombie movie, it has everything you need in a zombie movie. Lots of zombies (usually with adequate make-up, wardrobe and effects), blood and gore (though the blood in this movie was very strangely red) and of course a story that will sink its teeth in you - no pun intended.

Right from the very beginning I had a feel that this movie was going to be interesting, despite it not being a multi-million dollar Hollywood production. And right I was, oh yes! The story is very good and have a good, constant flow to it. So you are never left with a boring and dull taste in your mouth. Sure there are some points where you wonder about stuff, like how come suddenly there were so many infected people on the island. But that doesn't really bring the movie to a halt. You look past it, because the movie is that interesting.

The characters in the movie were well portrayed and likable. Some more than others, of course. I found the dialogue to be good enough. And also, I thought most of the characters in the movie were good for the story and added flavor and color to the story. The cast was, for most of the roles, very nicely cast.

The effects of the movie weren't too shabby either. Of course, they were not on Romero's level, but still they were very nice to look at and seemed real enough most of the time.

And also, if you are the type that approach movies analytically, then this movie does have some interesting things that it deals with, such as terrorism, homosexuality, religion, racism, to name some. And these elements work well in the movie. Of course, if you just watch a movie for entertainment, these still add depth to the entire movie.

Overall, I think this is one of the better "low budget" zombie movies I have seen in awhile. It would be a shame to let this one pass you by if you are a gore hound or zombie fan. Don't let the title fool you, as it almost did me.

This movie definitely gets two thumbs up - if a zombie hadn't bitten off my left thumb. This is most definitely good entertainment.

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction

Just finished watching this and for a low budget movie, it's good. The effects weren't shabby either and the humor, while not at par with Tucker and Dale, gave me some chuckles. Like some reviews on IMDb, I almost skipped this movie because of the title and I'm glad I actually gave it a go. Definitely recommended for Zombie fans.

A scene that made me laugh:

Frida pointed a shot gun at Tom, not knowing if he was a zombie or not.

Tom immediately standing up and holding up his two hands in surrender:
Tom: "Don't shoot me, I'm gay!"
