I've learned not to take a relationship quick and I also learned what I
really want from the person. I also learned that love is a number you
take and wait to be called. An example: when you are at a daily at a
super market you have to grab a number and wait to be called.

I would say to pay attention to your instincts or those reconsiderations
that occur in the back of your mind while still courting her. I admit I
found some ingenious qualities in my ex-wife but, at the end of the
day, I should have given more consideration to my doubts early. It may
take you a longer time to find a mate and marry (I was 35), but it would
be for the better (?). I'd just been wasting my time trying to slide
into any pretty cunt I could find anyway when I said to myself I need to
grow up.

I did what often we should do when we're trying to make friends with
someone or we're trying to court them; when I saw some personality
quirks I questioned I put them in the "nobody's perfect" column. But
later I recognized those quirks to be just what they were before: a
level of immaturity that she will never compensate for barring some
remarkable transformation or insight.
