HA a mormon. Not even close girl. I just choose to sleep until I wake up. Haha, I'm a Utah non-mormon and I don't drink coffee either. Melody, I love soy, I feel so much better when I drink it. I'll look into your recommendations. I do hope they have the Very Vanilla... Debbie I know it was a joke...I was playing back..did you not see my "haha"? I live in Utah, I'm use to mormon jokes and joke with my mormon friends... |

Call me old fashion but I prefer sucking milk straight from the cows teat. No matter how many times I try, I just can't find the nipple on a soy bean.

i prefer soy milk as well. calorie wise it compares to 1% milk or nonfat milk. much better for your body.
i read somewhere that soy milk will drastically help a woman that is in pre menopause , really cuts down on their hot flashes of course too tofu is a good source.. |

Ok my daughter & I both drink different kinds of MILK.....I drink NON-FAT & she drinks LOW-FAT so today I bought this VANILLA say milk called SILK! I didn't think she would like it.......... She loved it I on the other hand prefer the NON-FAT, but I know that this SILK stuff is better for me! my dad drinks it for his heart... i personally think it tastes like spoiled milk, but a lot of people like it. things they do with soybeans these days |

my son was drinking it for awhile but on dialysis you cant have soy. and the only reason he was drinking it is because he alergic to milk products. but we learned he can have moca mix.. its not that bad |

Only if it's real soy and not processed. Processed foods negate ALL purported health benefits. As I said in my post, don't rely on the "marketing" department to fool you. Do you realize in order for a "health" item to be listed on a label it only requires to be less than 2% of the entire ingredient?? If a product touts Omgea 3's - the chances are there is not enough to benefit you unless you consume 10x the amount required (in one day). |

Debbie, my opinion is the same as I posted last night (on page 2). I do not advocate processed cow’s milk whether it’s whole, 2% or non fat. It’s processed. Changing the composition of the milk doesn’t change the fact that it’s processed. As I said, look into raw milk: cow, goat or almond. Fermented milk is actually the very best nutritional option. It is prepared by inoculating cow, goat, or sheep's milk with kefir grains. The culture's chemical change makes the milk much easier to digest allowing the body to absorb more of the naturally present nutrients. The transformation of lactose to lactic acid allows people, even those with lactose intolerance, to digest kefir and get its full benefits. Kefir is high in calcium, amino acids, B-vitamins and folic acid. Kefir can play a vital role in the development of a healthy digestive tract in babies, as it protects against negative effects of radiation and helps improve the immune system. Kefir's friendly cultures also produce specific antibiotic substances which can control undesirable microorganisms and act as anti-carcinogenic factors. Products: http://www.kefir.com/ |

The the book Sho-Gun, the hero refers to tofu as "globules of curdled dog puke" I stand with his definition of this and any other soy products.
