Silk is good vanilla is the best flavor and good on cereal. Just stock up on those little free creamers most restaurants have. cant mess with the morning coffee. I make MOCHAS with NON=FAT MILK I use extract for flavor & I also add Ovaltine for the chocolate Damn, that's a really complicated cup of coffee. |

I love Ovaltine, too! Disolves better in milk, REAL MILK thank you. I like the 2% myself. I have to agree that I'd rather have milk from a cow, not a garden. I love my vegetables, but not on my breakfast cereal!

Hi! I just got back from the movies and saw this thread. I am flattered that some of you appreciate my opinions on health and fitness; thank you.
This is a debatable subject of course. I won’t try to change anyone’s mind but these are thoughts to consider. I’ve gleaned these views over the last 20 years of being both a lacto/ova vegetarian and a fitness trainer. Based on everything I've learned over the last 10ish years about soy, I believe that processed soy products are unhealty for you – i.e. Silk. Sugar is a lot like soy: When it's unprocessed and natural, it's quite good for you. When it's processed and modified, it's bad! Stop believing anything the food companies say and simply think for yourself. If it's processed, packaged and made with a long list of un-pronounceable ingredients, it's almost certainly unhealthy. Avoid anything that's pasteurized, homogenized, hydrogenated or autolyzed and you'll live a whole lot longer. If you drink soy milk as it has been traditionally made in Asia for thousands of years, it's good for you in moderation. If you drink processed, pasteurized, standardized soy milk beverages you might want to think again. Real soy milk, by the way, only lasts a couple of days in the refrigerator. It goes bad very quickly because it's real food. Processed soy milk lasts a long, long, long time without going sour. One brand of soy milk I do trust is Eden Soy. www.EdenFoods.com Their soy products have been through all kinds of scrutiny and passed with flying colors. In short, avoid the most popular brands of soy products: Gardenburger, Silk, Westsoy, Boca Burgers, and O Organics which are all heavily processed. The best brands were Eden Soy, and Vermont Soy products. Processed cow's milk is bad for your health also. Try RAW MILK. Raw goat's milk is my personal recommendation, but even raw cow's milk has merit. What's so good about raw milk? It's not homogenized or pasteurized. Raw milk seems to be far easier to digest, and it contains living bacteria cultures that enhance digestion and even soothe the digestive tract. Another current favorite is raw almond milk. It's made from raw, soaked almonds, water, vanilla and sea salt. While it doesn't have the protein content of animal milk, it's rich in plant-based fats and various anti-cancer phytonutrients. This is a top choice for vegans. I’m not picking on just soy products though. The mantra I teach to my fitness clients is to eat foods in their most natural state; no processed foods (period) or in extreme moderation. This includes coffee creamer, prepared sauces and instant oatmeal. If you visit my cupboards and fridge you will see fresh fruits and veggies. I don’t have any canned goods, boxed foods or frozen foods. I even make my own salad dressing from olive oil, lemons and basil. I hope this helps in one way or another. Everyone lives their lives differently and I certainly don’t expect people to live as extreme as I do. Learn a lot and apply what works best for you. |

For online buying, do a product search "soymilk" to see more results - vanilla, chocolate, unsweetened, lite. At the bottom of the page there is a "store locator" navigation by zip code. |
