Topic: useless purchases | |
---|---|
Most people when buying something from work are smart and have in their back of their minds "what's in it for me". Making sales is quite challenging, as people have to want the product you have to sell. That's why I deeply respect people that waste their money on just about anything, it makes my life easier. :)

So have any of the women tried the finger shaver thingie. No blades.
I looked at it the other day, and decided I could go and buy some 220 or 440 grit sandpaper and try that. And if it didn't work, well, I always have some wood that needs sanding. Been meaning to re-do my chest of drawers anyways. ![]() |

hey, if anyone is heading to Australia and wants to waste money, I sell holidays!! ha ha.
anyway, my point on this is, that there is no such thing as a "useless" purchase as every person you give your money too, helps them make profit which helps money continue to make the world go around. |

There was a convenience store near my place when I lived in Knoxville. Every product he sold was made in Mexico and made very cheaply. Like, if you bought a box of 4 light bulbs you were luck if 2 of em' worked. A screwdriver was good for maybe 3 used until the head disintegrated or the handle broke etc....

the only time i worry when i buy something is when there are rumors going around that it's made from some poor kids in china or somewhere, they are virtually slaves being forced to make toys.

have you ever purchased something you thought would be great, but it ended up being a pile of worthless junk? we just got back from wal-mart. two of my kids have braces and i figured a water-pik would be a good alternative/assistance to flossing (it's quite difficult to floss with braces). i can't really say that it's good, can't quite figure if it's totally junk, but the kids have been up there having fun spitting the excess water over themselves and the mirror for about 1/2 hour so i've at least been able to nurse my headache for a bit. Only when I lived in Canada. |

I am a research geek w/ a severe case of topshelf~itis ...
... I buy the very best and latest, always ... ![]() Imagine my surprise when my DVD player/burner, iron, polartec heart monitor, sewing machine, various instruments, Pilates machine, elliptical trainer and not 1 - but 2 German vacuums didn't operate themselves and required my precious sweat ... ![]() I'm sure I'm leaving out many chapters and whack purchases; suffice it to say I acquire the best and often, though by now I'd think I'd be trained not to! ![]() Also ... I've always dressed my child to the 9s, though she outgrows every size at the speed of light. I also believe in her wearing the very best shoes for her feet/back! At least all my fine shoes and clothes purchases worked out, though also in my typical excess ... ![]() Yelp for HELP! Nah, never mind ... I'll never change ... ![]() |

I bought Dan cyanide capsules but he never took them - a complete waste of money! |
