Topic: Is It Worth What You Have Had? | |
---|---|
Speaking of love...:
Is it really worth the hurt or heart ache, to experience love? Is the time you spent in love, and happy, really worth the price, you pay... should you end up going separate ways? |

For me it was worth it once, now that I have experienced it, I've moved on and am not interested in trying again, doesn't mean I won't for the right guy but for now I'm content to be single.

Well I did learn one thing: There's no such thing as "always" or "forever." There's only right now, and maybe tomorrow.

If your asking was the last one worth it? No. Does that mean do'nt want to try again ? No.The search is worth it

Well I did learn one thing: There's no such thing as "always" or "forever." There's only right now, and maybe tomorrow. Good question. I think that people love their children forever because there is a different relationship there(not a partnership). From the onset, the parent feels responsible for their child whereas a spouse is not meant to be responsible for their spouse. When people enter partnerships, they usually expect a give and take that isnt usually mandated in a parent child relationship. |

As to was it worth it,,,
Yes. The marriage of my youth was the most wonderful experience I have had (while it was good) and to this day, I havent found a love like it and dont regret that I got to experience it once in my life. My childhood husband and I still have a love and respect for each other that is hard to explain and unmatched by anyone I have tried to have a relationship with since. ITs a wonderful connection to have with someone. |

Relationships are like novels some you just cant stand, others are exciting, others are just okay, and others you wonder if you can get your money back.

There are many types of love, so what I had refereed to(and didn't mention in original post)was/is the partnership type of love!
Love for your children, that resulted from that union, is a totally different feeling! JMO |

Love is always worth it.
Sure it comes with eventual heartache and misery. So what? Lot's of stuff comes with misery. Traffic jams. Crappy music when stuck in an elevator. Waiting at the DMV. Chick flicks. At least with love, you get to experience moments of pure joy. For those brief moments....it is worth even years of desolate misery. |

Just think what this world would be like if we could not experience those feelings........... |

It is all worth it. I loved and have very fond memories
of it. I hurt and I grew from the pain. Live and learn, that is what makes us who we are. |

To use a metaphor, it's my metaphor, I can use it if I want to.
It's like being drunk at a party and the day after; Fun while you're doing it, but the next day you're wondering WTF were you thinking? |

Beautifully said, thank you! |
