Is it worth it? Most times I would tell you yes. Once you have felt loved it is a powerful draw. But recently I think I have finally reached the bottom of the well and don't want to even look for love anymore. Love is like a bike, u fall alot and it hurts, but once u learn how to, its easy. Loves hurts but if u can get back up and try it again you'll get it. Try a new technique =) |

A goat... Everything you just said I understand..except the goat part. Is that your perspective of what these women wanted you to be like? Like a goat? If I could turn a man into any animal of my choice..I'm just thinking goat wouldn't be my first choice.
It's a not-so-subtle piece of imagery to depict what most of my previous girlfriends (as well as my ex-wife) wanted me to be. A domesticated farm animal. Oh, I could have picked any number of other animals, I suppose....but there's just something about the goat concept that appeals to me -- perhaps it's the Pan/satyr overtones, perhaps it's my fond memories of the Andy Griffith episode where the goat swallowed a bunch of dynamite, perhaps it's just the idea that I'd like to eat tins cans if given the option. I don't know. I am tracking with you...as far as what your saying though. Maybe because my children are a result of my past horrible mistakes(the relationships, not my boys) I am able to not want to erase the memory..maybe not. I still cherish some of those memories, that don't include my boys. I can understand that. I have some good memories, too. But, in the overall context of things, there are a dozen bad memories for every good one, and the bad ones run deeper -- much deeper. Seems we hold onto the bad easier than the good.. the mind grasps them better, not sure why. I have heard we have to do 10 good things to make up for one bad thing..I tend feel there is a fair amount of truth in that. Doesn't it seem all the qualities that one finds attractive in the beginning are the things they end up wanting to change about you? Seems so for me. I wonder why, sometimes.
