put all the democrats on one side and all the republicans on the other what would happen? Which side would have a higher unemployment rate? which side would have higher taxes? Which side would flourish or die and which side would succeed or fail and why?

As it stands, I imagine democrats would be more unemployed because those with money and power tend to be republican and network with other republicans. If we are talking about two separate governments, I imagine democrats would have higher taxes because they are generally the party of social investment and contribution. I think republicans would not die or fail in tending to their own priorities, which I think are money and power. I think democrats would not die or fail to tend to their priority, which I think is social equality. Both sides would be weaker without uniting to create a healthy medium of the two ideals.

Interesting..... I think the republicans would ideologicly align themselves with China and Saudia Arabia and Israel, the dems with "Old Europe" the republican side probably would have a far worse life style no insurance unless you work for slave wages, etc etc. The would probably have to put up a wall to keep the discontent from fleeing to the democratic side.

Whichever side accepts the largest government would fare worse. Both repubs and dems have a long history of Statism, so there's no guaranteed outcome just because of partisan division. They are, as the old saying goes, simply 2 wings of 1 bird of prey.

Hmm,,,social equality (to me) is when the natural prejudices and built in privileges of society no longer influence the quality or accessibility of basic needs and rights, such as education, healthcare, employment,,,,etc,,,

I agree totaly. The republican half of the country would be full of pollution as we all know they would do away with the meddling EPA. Let those of us who care about the environment have the beautifull North with our lakes and streams free of chemical runoffs. Our fertile soil would be great for organic farming.

well it's not that we disagree, really we don't! Except i dont think people are entilted to be given those things by others. They should work for them on their own. So healthcare being another huge tax i have to pay without any benefit to me sucks! My healthcare cost is merely a $100 a month and that tax is gonna be far higher! Half my income is enough, now they want 60%, thats wrong!

What about independents and unaffiliated (me), where would they fit?

Republicans would become so overbearing with their outlandish ideals that they would end up having a revolution within a few years. Religion would be the major revolution, over whose is right.

Then the richer would make sure that the poorer stay in their place causing a revolution.

Then the gay republicans would be found out and lynched.

Etc...

Yes it would be. No taxes no EPA no unemployment benefits, no social security etc etc it would be a mad max world for sure.
