There are so many groups and organizations that need help..
Should I ever be so fortunate, I would feel a strong pull to help those less fortunate, with my time, energy, money. I would love to give back.

or maybe i'd keep the hobbies i have now.. keep up my art.. my crafts.. so on

first off, i wouldn't rush out and buy myself everything i ever wanted and go everywhere i wished all in a matter of a few days; i'd spread it out some, make it last.

after it was eventually all done, i'm sure there'd be more recent stuff to buy and other new places to go.

i would have an easy time occupying my days by taking long walks, gardening (in the warm months), getting regular manicures/pedicures, hair appointments, waxing appointments, cooking for the family, laundry for the family, meeting friends for lunches, reading.

evenings would be spent in the same manner in which they are already; taking the kids to their various functions and then curling up on the couch to watch some bad t.v.

Probably if I had enough I would aggressively fund programs to fight elder abuse and neglect in corporate and state funded skilled nurseing facilites. Lobby heavily to change the laws that allow understaffing. The majority of neglect is not because adequate care is impossible it is because it is impossible to give that level of care with the ratio of direct care givers to patients that now exist.

Lobby to expand the WIC program to needy at home seniors. That many are malnurished because they can't afford food and houseing really bugs me. Many need Ensure and and other food suppliments. Seems like the perfect system to expand and not waste money createing another.

I would also subsidise seed money for private adult daycare centers so that dependent adults could live at home but keep from burning out custodial families. Then I would lobby for funding for more of that than SNF's only. Doesn't make sense to me that taxpayers are paying for 24/7/365 care when day care could keep seniors at home longer if not life long.

I would actively promote private providers for mini mass transit system in this country. It almost takes at least one adult to support vehicals, insurance, taxes, and fuel. If people had systems they could count on to get them where they want to go that money could be and economic boon. And would reduce pollution.

I would probably also lobby for required public service by all citizen's (male and female). Not necessarily military service. Also before they can attend any state funded institution of higher learning. Then we would have more mature students and there would be a system for young adults to live outside of the nuclear family without necessarily being totally on their own.

Some of you are missing the point. It's not about what you would do with the money. The question is if money wasn't an issue, if you had enough to cover your bills and after you had done all the spending to get whatever it is you want then what? What would you do, day to day, to keep from getting board?

what do I do to keep from getting bored?

I work with community groups....a food co-op, youth groups, a community garden, the local festival committee, women's groups....

I work in my gardens...I have a constant barrage of visitors...I go surfing in the warmer weather...I paint, I draw, I create, I do stuff...

I enjoy here and now.... and am never at a loss to find something to do..


oh....and I work cause I want to...

I would sleep.......because I never get enough. I would like to sleep all day sometimes if allowed.
