 I would fear any group of people who have the capability to rationalize anything they choose to do to another group of people.:smile:I would fear anyone who has power and the ability to think of themselves as the good guy no matter what they do.:smile:I would and I DO fear

It'd be a different world if politicians had to lead the charge to war, wouldn't it? If they dishonored their country they'd have to commit suppuku?

The world might be more peaceful.

I have long said if countries dispute then put the leaders in a ring in Sumo wrestling suits ... last man standing wins...

Pay-per-view event would raise money for health care, infrastructure or schools...

that was just an example adventurebegins. i'm not saying that many people have a problem with it today... at least i hope not.

but the idea that every american should carry a gun in order to be able to resort to brute force if their government does something they do not like concerns me... spock

Our government has embarked upon (for many years) infringements...

When you have 90% of the people saying no and you do it anyway(bailouts)... (and our congress and senate know this to be a true statement).

You have usurped the right of the people to govern.

Right now we have more than 60% of the people saying NO and that is nearly a 2/3rd majority.

and yet they are proceeding to usurp our right to govern. Taking upon themselves the mantle of lords...

this is an insult to the very foundations of my country.

One which has raised my voice and that of many others.

therefore...

americans should rightfully assert their right to bear arms and kill off some government officials for going against the will of the people?

Off course not.

But it does look like it is time to wake some of those officials up.

They are after all americans also. And some of them might even be patriotic americans... That sorta lost their way.

Some of us have been asleep... Some of us have been spoiled...

And think of all the money you are not spending on the war machine ...

Oh my! What would all those defense contractors do?

Oh I don't know ...

design eco friendly cars
develop clean energy solutions
work on reducing the carbon footprint
off the grid housing developments

oh oh ... now she's just talking crazy!

design actual real ground to orbit transports... Orbit to orbit cargo vessels and waypoint stations.

So we can get OFF this ball of rock and water... and releive the pressure of humanity... without having to decide who lives and dies.

...And feeding people.

Make auction houses compete against one another for the right to sell tickets. Sell the vids on iTunes later. Sell highlight images to T-shirt companies.

Capitalism could be used for good.

I plan to charge people for reading this.
And they will get charged triple if they find it arousing.

In the US, there are roughly 17,000 murders a year, of which about 15,000 are committed with firearms. By contrast, Britain, Australia and Canada combined see fewer than 350 gun-related murders each year. And it's not just about murder. The non-gun-related suicide rate in the US is consistent with the rest of the developed world. Factor in firearms, and the rate is suddenly twice as high as the rest of the developed world.
Children are affected particularly hard. An American youth is murdered with a firearm every four and a half hours on average. And an American youth commits suicide with a firearm every eight hours. It's worth remembering that many of the most spectacular mass murders of recent years were really suicides, with the perpetrators choosing to take a few other people with them while they were at it.
