Topic: What type of friend are you? | |
---|---|
How do ya know he hasnt? Every time you meet a guy you expect him to commit from first meeting? read OP again, a boyfriend, girlfriend, mate, significant other - no one has mentioned anyone has to commit at first meeting. a boyfriend I am assuming is someone you know, you like and are in a relationship with, not a joe schmoe you just met. no difference imo, he could have done it in the beginning when you are first dating, he could do it after youve committed. Its not up to me how other people act and react to situations outside my control, be it with my partner or not. If im not told by someone, I would find out eventually. Most people do. Honestly, I dont know if I would believe someone who told me this was happening. People find things out when they are supposed to. I also stated I would have not liked to, but I would tell the person. there are a lot of things that happen beyond our control and you're correct no one can control the actions of another. speaking for myself - I would like to know and I would tell if I personally saw it, now if it's just hearsay, this one saying it, that one saying and I never witnessed it - that's another case jmo |

People normally assess information supplied as well as the person delivering the info.
I ask all my friends - if I were to see your someone special playing out in left field, would you want me to tell you, they have that chance to say yay or nay and it relieves me from having to decide/chose on what to do with that info. |

I did............Once! I got told by my friend that I was jealous of her being married and me being single and I was trying to spoil her marriage. Are they still together? No, she caught him having it off with a teeny bopper and threw him out.Now THAT had nothing to do with me telling her he was a habitual philanderer. Bonny, are you still friends with her? |

Don't like a third nose in there I really don't understand your ranting!! You and I disagreed a lot today on other threads. You become very angry with me(?). That's ok. We just have diff opinions. That's great we can do this !! I won't rant at you though. Or anyone else. I love you all |

and again what anyone would choose to do with it is up to them.. i would not go on and on to someone but share my concern for my FRIEND for their well being cause i do care about my friends. if they chose to stay with the person that is none of my business that is their own choice..for i respect my friends choices. i would not let them go as a friend for their own choices if i dissagreed or agreed with them on a certain matter.

Over the years you are most likely to see friends doing a lot of things they shouldn't be.
When I was younger I used to think it was being loyal to the offended party to tell them the truth. What I soon learned is people "know" what they want to know and a lot of times they do "know" and don't want you rubbing their nose in it. Sometimes they are doing a lot worse. Either way you are making a lot of enemies minding someone else's business. I know the arguement about Std's/AIDS is compelling but every adult makes a decision each time they have sex to expose themselves wheather it is a stranger, a lover, or a spouse. |

this seems like a no-brainer to me... are there actually people who would see something like that and not tell their friend? DITTO! |

I might ask how they're doing in the relationship and encourage them to end it if its already going badly, but more often than not the party that's being cheated on would turn on you quicker than their lover. |

If you saw your friends girlfriend/boyfriend kissing another person, do you tell? How would you handle it? That comes under the heading of "none of my business". |

I would go up to him and grab him by the balls HARD and not let go until I said, "NOW you WILL come clean to my friend or the next time I grab these they will be ripped off and I will tell her myself."
Then I will squeeze them harder before letting go and walking away. |

Let's put it this way, I say hello when I see her on the street. I no longer visit her at her home, but in April of this year I started a new job and she works there !!!Yes, the air is frosty. |
