Topic: I Just Got Gang-Squirted!

Skitchin on the school bus in the winter, and hooking up ropes to dirtbikes, and riding steel-wheeled crappy skateboards at 30 mph in the summer. Um...forgive a poor Southerner...but what's "skitchin"??? It's a comination of skiing, and hitching a ride. When you get off the school bus in the winter and there's snow on the ground, you walk to the back of the bus, grab onto the bumper, and hold on for dear life. And also pray that the snow covers the entire street down the road, cuz gravel hurts at 30 mph.. Hahahohooooouchie! But I guess it's better than being dragged by yer tongue when it's stuck to the bumper!

What do you remember from summer get togethers when you were a kooky lil kid? What a dirty trick... another bait and switch title So much for an exciting mental picture

When about 13 I can remember camping out in the yard, using a blanket as a tent, and the horses driving us nuts all night wanting attention.

Playing baseball, cookouts, eating watermelon and my face getting juicy and sticky (not a double entendre) or home-made ice cream. The ice cream maker spinning around while we tossed pieces of ice in the bucket. Chasing lightening bugs, the smell of summer night creeping in consisting of cut grass, honeysickle and dirty knees. Turning on the baseball game on the radio while trying to dodge the occasional mosquito. Talking with friends about our upcoming trip to the beach. I was so blessed as a child and feel very humbled by that now with the way life has turned out for me. Thanks for a great thread.

Man I am slow on keeping up! I am trying to get that way. Us Leo's need to stick together - especially the red headed ones! Mine is on the 7th... Mine too Meg/Myra! We used to play truth or dare and Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. Or sneak out to the porch and kiss boys.... Yeah! One hell of a party coming up, eh?

Tree houses, tag, biking for summer and street hockey, king of the mountain, and going down the cliff on a magic carpet for winter. As soon as i notice how girls were soft and nice to kiss all that went away.

marathon Monopoly games, we'd play at one friends house for a few days until that mom got tired of feeding us lunches then we'd go to anther game players house...till we'd been to all players homes. Also roller skating with the key tied around my neck, skate boarding, and maybe the best - our yard was the corner lot,(so the biggest) and thus was the baseball field. Always seemed to be a game going on. Watching fireflies...I had a very nice childhood, happy to say. Not perfect but good in many ways. I trust my son would say the same of his.

makin mud pies and forts and having war with said mud pies behind the forts ;p omg breakin the kiddie pool. LOL ooohhh we were in soo much trouble! we flooded the back yard. hah

LOL ooohhh we were in soo much trouble! we flooded the back yard. hah We used to squirt dishwashing detergent onto the concrete patio & use it as a slip n slide...it was pretty cool in theory...until you slid on the scratchy part...ouchie!
