Hard to believe that train trestle is still standing!
The train depot looks almost exactly the same. |

Keith that is totally awesome thanks for going through all of that love the information. No thanks are necessary. I love doing stuff like this, with area history and "then and now" photos. |

Our city restored its historic down town area....one of my favorite places to hang out....
The old Paramount theater shows only classic films....Bogart, James Dean, last week it was Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid Historical museums that focus on Abilene's past as well as Frontier Texas which is a holographic museum of Abilene's pioneer military past...I never knew that camels were the first cavalry steeds out here. really interesting stuff! |

This is the First Methodist Church in 1930's This is actually the First Methodist Church picture I took today 7/23/2009. Mine came out a bit dark but as you can see the Church has not changed much at all since then. This Church is located Downtown Fort Worth and actually covers over a city block now. Most of the time any of the Funerals for the Police Men or Firemen are held here due to the size of the Church. |

That's so great! I just read in my local paper that they're opening the old Magic Lantern here again. They show old movies and stuff there, which is so great. There's a place downtown that plays old silent films against the side of a building. I LOVE that! There's also a theme park here called Silverwood, which has an old style Western boardwalk. It's not old itself, but the movie theatre there shows all the oldies. |

Lots of rain last year..I know it's not an old photo, I will work on that. But the floods last year broke 100 year records. |

It's hard to get a new pic of my high school because it's covered in trees now and a freeway runs RIGHT in front of it, but here's the auditorium:
Yeah, I know my high school is bada**. |
