That is wierd...the trees in the 30's picture are the same size as the '09 picture! 'the hell ?????? Ya know I thought the same thing when I looked at it as well. Hummmm Trees dont keep growing forever and ever! They reach a maximum height, just like we do! Not that i am a tree expoert or anything. I just assumed that the Methodists were repressing them...... |

This was the Old Post Office back then not sure when this Picture was taken think sometime between 1930's-1950's This is the one I actually took today 7/23/2009 at this time if I'm correct it is up for sale. Hummmmmm can ya tell I was on a bit of a mission today lol thanks to Keith and some of the others that posted the then and now pictures I could not resist it. Only thing I did not have my camera with me so I had to use the camera on my phone and e-mail them to myself.... |

This is the town I grew up in...but this picture doesn't seem to be very accurate...even for the olden days.
This picture looks to have been taken where the current caution light is. Even back then, the river ran right through the middle of town. I see no bridge or other evidence of the river being there. The only image I can find of what it looks like now is this one, which doesn't show the same angle. |
