I meet the most amazing guy ever he is sweet,funny, good looking the problem isnt him its me.im having a hard time trusting anyone not just him my family, friends, even myself so how can i have a relationship when i cant even trust myself to make the right decision? Any advice? Cause i want this to work out

The saying, innocent til proven guilty usually works for me. But trusts issues are always hard to cope with at times.

Write out a list of things you do not trust about yourself, then write down one thing that you can do to make a change about each one. And what are the wrong decisions you are making? I make wrong choices everyday...I learn from them and keep going... IF you want this relationship to work out, then you need to really find out what it is that you do not trust about you first. This is NOT about blame...it is about learning and changing.... Good Luck!! |

All the trust in the world can only be earned and can be destroyed in an instant of indescretion or deciet.
You must let him at least earn trust and keep it until he proves himself otherwise. Life is about taking chances and giving chances. |

Without trust you cannot even begin to have a relationship with anyone. The person you have to start with first is yourself and take it from there...

idk.. ive been lied to before by an ex but ive never brought that grudge over to the next girlfriend. i give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

Well... there comes a point in time where you simply CAN'T learn to trust again. I mean... if you've been jacked around after repeated attempts at getting into relationships, you tend to get a wee bit hardened after a certain point.

Cause i want this to work out Trust comes with time, some will break our natural barrier of suspicion and get our trust and lots will only pass and deceive us in some way or another, that is life. If your lucky you can have a couple person in your lifetime you really trust, treasure them and let them know they are special. |

Trust is a very hard thing and once broken is tough to repair. The sad part is that if you've learned that lesson the hard way, it's hard to trust ANYONE - even someone who hasn't earned your DIS-trust.
No good advice...just an observation. |
