Not my bag but, I can see why it is done. To try to appear more attractive. Let's face it, if you ain't willing to try to look more attractive in some way...then you deserve the bottom of the barrel who ain't gonna try to look good for you either. This is the exact formula that so many of the people in Wal-Mart employ. You crack me up with this Wal-Mart theory! Something really gets your goat about people not dressing up to go to Wal-Mart! Damned right....ifyou are in your home...by all means..be a slob! Out side your home....represent yourself, your family and your society.... For me it is silk and slacks... for others it is sweats and the unbrushed hair curled up into the ponytail holder. P*sses me off that people are willing to look like they just don't care. Yeah...I look down on them....that is why they are always so friendly to me. It's not about what you are born with that counts, its what you do with it. You should be the best you can be. Letting yourself go, not taking care of yourself, not grooming or bathing or wearing clean clothes... people WILL MAKE JUDGMENTS ABOUT THAT because it reflects an attitude of lack of respect for yourself and others and even for society. I am a big offender. More often than not I will run to the store in shabby clothes and my hair and face a mess... like I don't give a crap. I'm sure people have judged me. I want to change that behavior. |

there are organic means to color hair, and it stays for quite a while. Rapunzel is right about what the chemicals can do to the body from factory dyes..... Really Dark Owl ??? What else besides Henna ??? I tried Henna and it just turned my hair green i was told that the Henna found in an actual Indian Store would be better and fresher and stronger too than the henna found in natural food co ops |

I tried coloring it on and off for about 8 years... It looked good for about a day .. and that was it now my hair is all grown out not one bit of artificial color and it is deep dark reddish brown with pretty silver streaks & looks and feels really nice and has a lot of body & it even has a natural wave & slight curl on the ends but it was never this nice during the time i messed with it I get a lot of compliments on it & i don't want to dye it I trim my own hair and have no dandruff or split ends and when i put all that phony crap on my hair , it just dried it out so I am going au Naturel & people still ask me where i get my hair done hello repunsel my old friend |

This thread has spawned new topics within itself (like that never happens! LOL!) The bottom line whether you are talking about haircolor, what you wear, etc is that you FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF!

Just for Men " Keeps me in the game" Hilarious... In my recent job a co-worker used to pick up his 4 year old daughter from preschool. She'd come to my office and tell me tales about her daddy. One was about the "Just For Men" haircolor her dad put in his beard that gave him a rash. From the mouths of babes... LOL! |

LOL! oh yeah that stuff is nasty I had a very vain friend who died his hair red and he was losing so much of his hair .... that he looked like Bozo the Clown with the sides full and the top gone i told him to just cut his hair really short since he was losing so much of it , he might as well & it looked a hundred times better when he cut it all off and quit using that highly toxic extremely harmful hair color |

I only want to put the healthiest things in my hair... I know people want to look as best as they can but i have found nothing on the market not even in health food stores that doesn't damage a person's hair if you color it It makes me soo sad that so many young young women and men are coloring their hair soo often and in all different colors all the time and they are absolutely ruining their beautiful shiny gorgeous brand new hair I tell young people i meet when i am out and about to not give in to peer pressure & be natural it is soo much better and healthier in the long run and they will regret it big time when their hair falls out or they get very sick from all the unnatural chemicals & phony additives that go right in your pores & into your bloodstream and all those piercings and tattoos are not good either but that is another topic |
