Topic: why does hair color matter?

it really doesn't. at least not to me. why do folks dye their hair to try and look younger? anyway, how about it.

I know that hair dye only wrecks a person's hair in the long run

and there are a lot more things that can make a person old

a lot faster than silver hair...

,my hair is over two feet long and it would never be this long

or thick or soft or shiny or sweet smelling noway if i dyed it

cause no matter the cost or the commercials telling you other wise

hair loss for starters & stroke and heart attack are side effects noway

of that nasty peroxide & ammonia and all the damn chemicals they use ill

Clairol does to a natural hair fiber frown

what Wonder bread does to a Wheat berry sad

they strip it of its natural fiber ohwell

and then shoot it full of fake chemicals whoa

and synthetic crap they call vitamins scared

I had a lot of fun getting my hair this way. I have never or will ever color my hair.

My dress code for Wal-Mart is. Jeans, t-shirt, tennys. Winter time of course a hoodie or my coat.

Hell, I go to Wally World to buy stuff, not make a fashion statement. My money is green and my debit card plastic. It`s all good.

Blonds don't have more fun, they just get more propositions. I know, I was blond for two weeks. I did not like it. I got more attention, but from the wrong kind of jerk.

My conclusion: Jerks like blonds. bigsmile

From a blonde's point of view, I'll say "Oh! Unfair!" Although I will tell you that last winter I had brown low-lights put into my hair (which sometimes sunbleaches to the color of STRAW) and I SWORE people treated me differently. Maybe it's my imagination, but it was an interesting thing to experience.

I think people, especially women should get rid of the gray hair. If you look younger, you feel younger. It is part of good grooming. Gray hair is not natural usually.

I did know a man whose hair turned completely white almost over night. (In about a week) It was beautiful thick and pure white. very strange. huh

And THAT is what it's all about...FEELING good. Some people look great grey. Some people look great bald. Whatever!

If you want to grow you hair very long you are probably right, Coloring is not good for it. However, you can strip all the crap that coloring puts on your hair with vinegar and water. But if you cut your hair on a regular basis it does not matter. Hair is not alive. Hair is dead cells.

One advantage of being blonde...the whites just look like expensive hair treatments! LOL!

I like blondes, but I also like all the other colors too! I have never dated a bald chick but that might not be bad ... long as she wasn't too scratchy.

Yes it is very interesting. My sister, who had always been a blond and used to a lot of attention, dyed her hair brown for two weeks. She hated it because she said she felt totally invisible and ignored by the opposite sex. On the contrary, when I did my hair blond, I had to fight the creeps off with a stick to get to the guy I was interested in. LOL

I've dyed my hair before. It wasn't to look younger, though. It was just for something different.

there are organic means to color hair, and it stays for quite a while. Rapunzel is right about what the chemicals can do to the body from factory dyes.....

I tried coloring it on and off for about 8 years...

It looked good for about a day ..flowerforyou and that was it frown

now my hair is all grown out not one bit of artificial color noway

and it is deep dark reddish brown with pretty silver streaks flowerforyou

& looks and feels really nice and has a lot of body

& it even has a natural wave & slight curl on the ends happy

but it was never this nice during the time i messed with it flowerforyou

I get a lot of compliments on it & i don't want to dye it noway

I trim my own hair and have no dandruff or split ends happy

and when i put all that phony crap on my hair , it just dried it out noway

Not my bag but, I can see why it is done.

To try to appear more attractive.

Let's face it, if you ain't willing to try to look more attractive in some way...then you deserve the bottom of the barrel who ain't gonna try to look good for you either. This is the exact formula that so many of the people in Wal-Mart employ.

You crack me up with this Wal-Mart theory! Something really gets your goat about people not dressing up to go to Wal-Mart!

Damned right....ifyou are in your home...by all means..be a slob!

Out side your home....represent yourself, your family and your society....

For me it is silk and slacks...

for others it is sweats and the unbrushed hair curled up into the ponytail holder.

P*sses me off that people are willing to look like they just don't care.

Yeah...I look down on them....that is why they are always so friendly to me.
its a materialistic world anymore, sad when people care about looks and not whats inside
