...Better to be safe then sorry. ...thAn sorry. I like to be safe and not sorry at all. But as far as topic goes, I don't care about stigma. If a romance or whatever were to come of someone and me talking online, then so be it. Of course it has 'to go over well in real life too, and when that happens, why have some sort of stigma attached to it? |

Let's keep the drama down, no need for the "skank" referances.

I figured I'd probably be single for quite a while cause I didn't think women like her existed, or were in very short supply. Glad she came along and proved me wrong
I can relate to THAT! |

Do you think there is stigma attached to building friendships and romances online? And THAT is why only a few "in person" friends know I do this... |

There are those who see it as a second-class methodology. I think the stigma is diminishing, though. When one has access to a tool, why not try it when it may be useful? Agreed...some people are still a lil embarrassed about it but I have no problem with it. If not for the Net, I wouldn't have met a wonderful man & made some really great friends...some of whom, I've actually spent time with in person... If not for the Net, I know for a fact that none of these connections could've been made...I'm all for using the Net as a friendship/relationship tool... |

Do you think there is stigma attached to building friendships and romances online? Yes. The potential one is always thousands of miles away. |

Yes. The potential one is always thousands of miles away. And THAT can be a good thing. Nothing like a change of scenery to solve life's problems. Risky though. To risky for me if I don't have a few years knowing them under my belt (and I do have a few online only friends I've known for years). |
