Anyone remember the episode of "Northern Exposure" where the DJ and the bar tender were both having mid-life crises? The bar tenders family all lived well into the 100's and the DJ's family all expired before 40. I'm middle aged.

I know what I SAW about 2 weeks ago about 11:30 pm walking my dogs. I happened to look up, I do alot of that and all of a sudden saw a craft(?) triangular in shape- a dark bluish gray moving far above me, passing stars. I was watching it, no sound and from where I was it was about a inch in size, I watched for about 10 seconds then it just disappeared. Poof. Just like that. Thought...oh well, UFO. OR being near the test site (2 hours) something from there. But the disappearing stuff? Had me think it was a UFO. Where at? Southern Nevada LOL I swear I am the only person who hasn't seen a UFO in Nevada!

Nifty thing.... There is an oath a soldier must take, and that is to defend the constitution of the united states against ALL enemies, foreign, AND domestic. This comes in priority before the part stating that I wil obey the orders of the president of the united states and those officers appointed over me. I love it. If the president gave an order that blatently violated the constitution, he would be relieved of command if this were followed to the letter... Anyone know anything about the Patriot Act? Bush would have been thrown out of office back in 2001. In fact, i can't think of many presidents that wouldn't have been thrown out in the last century. It makes me happy to see soldiers realizing that oath... Me too.

When I was in High School there was a ufo flap over Clovis NM. All I ever saw was a orange glow over the clouds moving at a high rate of speed. About 30 seconds later you could hear jets (couldn't see them but sounded as if they were going in same direction). This glow was not a jet as it was huge. Very strange.
Have been down the Extraterrestrial Hiway in Nevada a dozen times at night, and think I am the only person not to have seen anything. I think it would have been cool to be in Phoenix when that ufo happened, just because thousands of people saw it, so noone would think you were a kook. That's it for me and ufo's. I should mention that Clovis is the home of Cannon AFB....I highly suspect that a lot of ufo's could be secret military hardware. But all of the reported ufo's around the world? Doubt it... |

i'd have to repeat myself after your repeating yourself. we simply disagree. to the op, my answer is no, there is no scientific basis to even support a hypethosis much less a theory that bigfoot exists. Doesn't that depend on what one considers to be "scientific basis"? Isn't "observation" a critical part of the scientific process?
sure. what scientist has observed something that he/she hypothecises is big foot? observation of materiel evidence is indeed useful in science. but video doesn't work nor does anecdotal "reporting". a biologist for instance might say, "if this video does accurately portray a real big foot and if we could observe, and perform tests then perhaps we'd have a basis for theorizing." that's as far as a credible scientist would go and may be going to far as science is concerned. So what you are saying is--(correct me if I'm wrong) video or claims from non-scientist is to be ignored or considered hoax, delusion, or whatever? With that being said have any credible scientist actually searched for big-foot, or would that be so detrimental to their career as to prohibit entirely? BTW I would like to see a body, but I believe there have been enough reports to indicate something might be there. Basically, it's an interesting topic. |

A couple of weeks ago I saw a video on the web, it wasn't about big foot as much as it was about a possible extraterrestrial origin of man. It did make some interesting arguments about big foot though. I'll try to find it again and post a link.
