Let the church bells ring!!!!!!!! Got up early this morning...no Betty....and Chatka refused to go out side...drove around looking again...no Betty...stopped back by the house to try to get Chatka outside...and a Black head popped up out of the cactus patch across the road... BETTY!!!!!!!!! she came belly crawling out....looking like absolute hell...covered with cactus needles...and coated with something similar to tree sap but smells like horse pee and apparently she waded in the neighbors horse pond....looks like she got snake bit in the side of her face ....but she is home and safe....phew.....oh man.....I am soooooo relieved! Thank you everyone for all your positive energies......gonna be a real job to get her cleaned up when I get home....glad I already gave her the rattlesnake vaccine! Oh happy day!!  Hate to hear about all her injuries while out on her adventure, but that's fixable. Give her hugs for me!

Thanks guys and dolls! Just got home and tending to Betty. What a friggen mess...thankfully the snake bite swelling is dramatically reduced....she is still trembling like crazy..getting what I can of the cactus needles out..(help full hint..panty hose snag the hair fine red needles and pull them out)..but, she will be dealing with hidden ones for a while)
Poor b*tch, I am laughingly lecturing her about "Stay with me! I will keep you safe!"...I have no idea what she got into but, she got crap around her eyes and on her fur that I ain't never seen...but, apparently it is water repellant. I think she lost 1/3 her weight..so I am fixing her and Chatka some fried potatoes and sausage to beef her back up but, niether dog touched thier food today and though having been inside all day..and Chatka all night and all day...won't either one go outside to take care of thier bidness... But, it is all good....Daddy will take care of them. I am just sooooooooo relieved! |

So you would think NJ...yet my dogs live to be old dogs. But, normally when I cook for them they eat thier vegetables too so I balance thier diet.
Tonight...just trying to pack abunch of calories back into her exhaused system. on that note...time to feed them and then rub her to sleep as I search for more needles... again...thank you everyone....you kids are great friends. |

Spoil them. I used to barbeque my old dog filet mignon (the little bitty sized ones) I was thinking you might want to stop at the supermarket and get them big soup bones.
