Do you simply Watch and nothing more?
Or do you think about it for a second and decide to walk away before it gets worse? |

As a mental health counselor i have seen a heck of a lot of emotional pain and I have learned that you can not save everyone. When I would teach at welfare to work programs, etc. I always made an announcement that I am not there to give them therapy (something I have to remind many of the women I have dated).

Do you simply Watch and nothing more? Or do you think about it for a second and decide to walk away before it gets worse? It depends on the situation, what type of pain, if I can lend a helping word, sometimes I do, but sometimes you have to let people feel the pain, it's just something they gotta do, I just let them know it happens to us all...this is the mental pain, then there's physical pain, there too, sometimes you can help, sometimes you just can't |

There isnt a day that goes by that I do not see a face with pain
They hide it But I can still see it I feel it They hurt inside Its almost unbearable We dont share the pain, but I still feel it I can only watch them I can only deal with my own pains But is that really the only option I have? Can they be helped? These questions remain still Even as I watch them exit through doors that I can not see through |

(Just recently had a different experience, how do you walk away from a river bank that your friend disappeared into?) Just a question.....no need to answer.... |

Stay, because you matter very much at that moment

Instinct says "stay" but sometimes you just make it worse...
Walking away hurts but sometimes is the right thing to do. |

I cant fo anything other than try to ease their discomfort, medically, or just in comfort... having assisted in delivering a couple of babies, been first on the scene at road accidents, nursed my mother through terminal cancer....
you just do what you can to at least know someone cares for them.... you NEVER walk away. |

Who WOULD walk away from someone in pain...? thats like saying ur putting urself before them. I guess it depends on the type of pain...physical or emotional. I think that opens up a lot of grey area. |
