So, say we're able to form a somewhat Utopian Society...do you really think that most people could put aside their egos & understand that a construction worker (or whatever) is just as important as a doctor or physicist? Whether it is towards Utopia -OR- If the Sh!t hits the fan and we need to hit the deck runnin' like cockroaches? Some skill-sets will be more relevant than others, as in all adaptation. Better NOT forget to take the village witch doctors! Oh, the things we can do w/ our hands and nature!!! I can even witch out the water source. Some skills would fall away. Those would still be valued workers to be mentored in the new relevant ways of the colony! Takes a village ...

Personal Utopias...
I just want to share a moment, that has just happened... I logged onto facebook... and noticed my nextdoor neighbour had posted she was a little sad this morning... So my youngest daughter on her way to school dropped off a little gift... two TimTam chocky bikkies... with a message... "Chocolate and kindness, can ease some sadnesses, Mum says she heard you needed some kindness.." The neighbour was a little puzzled, and Rhi, my little one said, " Facebook." My neighbour hugged and kissed her, dried her tears , and said, "tell your mum, I love her!" Three fold warm fuzzy feelings.. The neighbour knows someone noticed her, and cares, my daughter got to experience selfless generosity, and received love for it... and I know somehow I made the day a little gentler for someone. that's my kind of personal Utopia.
