Z is a chick?
I had no idea! But, honestly, there have been several times when a woman gets booty hurt when I casually say "Dude"....(though I say Dude to my actual female friends and my sister too) But, with the photo that gives no clue...ya gotta expect it to happen. |

Thank you Krupa! But being a fair "dude" that I am, I must say in her defense that per haps it's a pic of a female raccoon she's sporting as her main pic...

But, in all honesty...I occasionally get the drunken dude hit on me here thinking I am a chick...
These things happen. |

English is my primary language but I also speak Irish (Gaelic) and French. MahanMahan, apology duly accepted! Don't you be sad now!! Sorry I did not respond promptly enough, but I completely forgot this little "tussle" had even happened (until now, obviously!)! You make logical points and moreover you are forgiven, thank you so mucheeet! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...! YEEET! *Little poos on cement* Let's keep this on topic, too, please. More language-talk, less...whatever! Please?! Spanish, as I said, has always intrigued me, but I've sort of lost any progress with learning it, sadly! I will always love English, though, and will likely continue studying its many idiosyncrasies all my life! |

Z! I've missed you. English is my first language. I used to know a pretty good amount of Spanish, but am a bit rusty now. I also learned Latin.

Latin--yes, that seems to be a very useful language to know (not speak, really), if you are interested in such things! For the obvious reasons, it would be interesting and helpful to know the historical-linguistic construction of words we use today and how they developed. Yeah! |

I don't think Z remembers me - all the feeding, all the tlc..it's been too long! Yes, the Latin does help in word translation, etc.

But, in all honesty...I occasionally get the drunken dude hit on me here thinking I am a chick... These things happen. You best change your default pic to a possum or some other atrociously ugly creature. Cuz I'm about to hit on you in BOTH ENGLISH AND PERSIAN and I'm not even drunk! |

Zeeeee,
I feel so bad now, I've been goofin' on you so much the past 24 hours... but none of it was malicious, I assure you. Sticking to the topic, don't you hate it how the English language is so basterdized, both grammatically and spelling-wise? For example, it's you're welcome, not your welcome. the soldiers all came home, not the soldier's all came home... ...and so on and so forth and whatnot! |

Oh my... would you look at the time...
Love to stay and chat, but I gotta go. I got this thing I gotta get to... ...bye... |

If I ever want to get a date, I think I might need to work on my approach...

The Internet has *something* to do with the deterioration of grammar and spelling, methinks. Speed is emphasized over accuracy, often, in our day and age!! The your-you're confusion is something that haunts me, as well, among so many other malapropisms! Yowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! *Weeps little raccoon tears for the English language* |

Raccoons speakin' English??? Whooda thunk it!

Wow. A thread whining about spelling and grammar actually made it 7 pages? Usually they're deleted early on.
