I've never heard that particular expression before -- but, in my experience, when someone comes out with something that sounds like a compliment, it means they want something.

I did a search and of course the keywords are picking up "Trail of Tears" which is not what you want. Also it is picking up "Dream Catchers" which is also Native American religion based.

Your best option is asking her to explain as I am assuming that she is Native American. You say she was unclear the first time. Let her know that.

I'd take it as a compliment... Just because someone uses a term that you are not familiar with, does not make it a cheesy line... My Mother was Lakota, born & raised on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation...I have not heard of that term...but I'm very in tune with my Native American Spirituality...it's waste' (good).
