Clearly, I can't follow whatever arbitrary rules there are... let's just bag the rules, eh? Oh hayell no I seem to remember some rules that were made by women that were totally arbitrary... Level playing field hun... |

so why guys are so shy? what guys are so afraid of contacting a woman? what's the worst it could happen? I would say if I'm not contacting a woman, I'm not shy, I'm just not interested. |

Level playing field hun... Well since I can't seem to follow the rules made by men OR by women, I guess that's as level as you can get! LOL! |

Not necessarily but they almost always will end one.

Sure, why not. If you feel like contacting a guy first, do it. Maybe he just isn't paying attention and needs a little nudge.

I don't have a problem with contacting or starting a conversation with anyone be it male or female. What is everyone so afraid of? Rejection? So be it, move on to the next.

so why guys are so shy? what guys are so afraid of contacting a woman? what's the worst it could happen? This is a compleated question. A very long time ago, when people lived in small tribes of 50 to 100 people, there were only a few women that weren't too closely related, too young, too old or too unhealthy. That would leave a man with only about 4 or 5 women to marry. So, let's assume that he thought one of them was very pretty and he said hello and she liked him. But, the son of the tribal leader had his eye on her. What do you think happened? Our hero would be invited on a hunting party where he would have an "accident" and never make it home. This happened so often that it became a benifit for men to have some fear when approaching strange women. In today's world it doesn't make sense, but we still have the fear. It's a leftover from a time when we needed it. All men have it and it never goses away. But, it can be delt with if a man tries. |

very wise thought. I wonder then if as a woman when I make the 1st move guys get scared or the one who has lest interest.

Well where im from most women have this im the queen/me against the world mentality so rejection when it does happen is brutal and scene causing in public, also some dont want to look sluty( i dont know why some women think like this)and will make it very difficult to start a conversation...but the idea that a man must step to a woman is non sense if anyone has an interest in someone just go for it..i personaly find it as a turn on when a confident woman steps to me...

what do u think? are you expecting that a woman would come to talk to you 1st. I don't like that idea still, I feel like I m still a little bit old fashion. I am old fashion also. I like for a man to come to me first. Some women are okay with starting the conversation and some are not. I did try it at first and it did not work out for me. So, I went back to the old way of doing it, let him come to me. Plus I don't want to say something cheesy and make myself look stupid. |

Do you mean something like: Hi, I would like to get to know you? or Hi, what do you think about the proposed Cap and Trade bill? Most women who approach me just starting giggling stupidly |

If there is a connection then why don't both persons just start talking and see where the discussion goes from there?
