When you say you aren't racist in a forum, you should try really hard to
be believable. If it wasn't about race, then we would base our
immigration rules on a case by case basis-regardless of their country of
origin. If YOU were color-blind, as a few of you said you were, then you
wouldn't use phrases like "those" people and follow it up with
generalized hog-wash. "They know." HA

You have got to be kidding. I consider myself of at least average
intelligence, I'm fairly involved and informed about current events, and
I have never heard about this immigration program you were talking
about. Tell me, it was on the 6 oclock news? I guess you were watching
the Hispanic six oclock news, right? Yes, the equivalent of an honorable
mention serves as sufficient evidence for the effective distribution of
CRITICAL information for people striving for citizenship. Especially a
people who culturally have strong family-values and a work-ethic that
puts a "hard-working" American to shame.

As far as raising Tarriff rates goes, consider the global economy, and
the loss of the "foreign money injection" we have been getting on a
semi-regular basis, and what that will do to our economy.

Sorry if my generalized ...frustration (for lack of a better word)
happened to find a mark in you. Not that I'm retracting, but my
apologies for not being more *precise*.

You may not see the racist ideas, but racism is more than planting a
burning cross on someone's lawn or spouting racial diatribes. Racism can
be found in phrases as innocuous as "You speak so well." and "You don't
seem hispanic."

Racism is ignorance, and ignorance can often be found in assumption.
However, don't assume that my barbs were flung specifically at you, 4
pages leave a lot of room to express the content of a person's

cool, I have Good friends that are Hispanic, I graduated HS in
Alamogordo N. Mex., and one friend here who is Palestinian, they are all
Citizens, and N.C. is one of the most populous state for illegal
immigrants. To me it is not a racist thing, but definitely a problem. To
hear my friends who are Hispanic, and esp for my Palestinian buddy at
school you would think, they were. It makes him mad because he has had
to work for ten years to become an American. He feels cheated by the
proposed (shake-n-Bake) immunity legislation. You cant blame him he did
it legally....

Current legislation is a problem, mainly because of the sheer number of
people that immigration control has to deal with. It would be nice to
see a system that ignored the country's origin, and instead based it off
of the individual's merits.

I dont think the Gov's immigration is based on race, Might be wrong, and
I think it definitely looks that way on top, but 17 % legal immigration
should not be considered a closed door policy. Its pretty liberal. I
did the math once, and it adds up quick.
What you hear me gripe about is illegal immigration, and that comes from
Middle America, mostly Mexico, and therefore it is one race of people
(Hispanic), which is just a coincidence of borders, not racists hatred.

i would promise everything to everyone who would vote for me. i wouldn't
be ashamed to be contradictory. I'd sell out to whatever special
interests paid for.

Anyhoo, our immigration problem could easily be solved by implementation
of a fair tax. Only citizens are allowed that pre-bate which covers the
inflated costs of necessities, it gives access to more of the money that
we earn, and raises the cost of living for those without citizenship. So
if someone wants to jump a border and make a life without getting
citizenship, that's fine. They just have to pay much higher cost, so
working below minimum wage and off the books will have almost zero
appeal.

*Added bonus, the prebate would actually be more effective than our
current food-stamp solution.

If ,I was president, I would stop the war, And I would start representing ,we the people , instead of the BIG CORPORATIONS. Then ,I would solve the biggest crime in the history of mankind on this PLANET !!!I would remove the federal reserve, because it is unconstitutional and it is a fraud on mankind. President Kennedy was working on that when he was killed.(murdered) He started printing US notes, I remember getting a few of them. After he was murdered ,those notes disappeared. I wonder WHY THAT WAS!!! ALSO ,I would check into , how it was that about 3 men could pass the federal reserve act, during Christmas vacation, while Congress was out of session??? 3.force every nation that owes us money to pay us back!
4.start social healthcare, ex. free healthcare for seniors
5.make social sucurity only for american citizen with min. of twenty of work service. it would be something u would no longer appply, u would start receiving check on ur 67th birthday.
6. put a tariff(sp) on aLL AMERICAN COMPANY that uses cheap labor instead of americans. put a double tariff on imports!
7. college would be free for american who has kept B avg in high school n cont to do so thur college.

Stop hunger and make sure people had food to eat
I would take care of medical insurance, no one should wind up with a $1500 bill from an emergency room visit

Veterans would be taken care of
People that wanted to work...would have jobs. There would be no unemployment

If we got rid of the federal reserve and went back to a true Constitutional form of government, every body could have a job , would not need all these licenses, permits ,and taxes, and a lot of those parasites in the federal ,state , and local governments, could go out and get a REAL JOB, like the rest of us. Without all those parasites sucking your life blood, you would have all the money you need and would not have to work any where near the hours you do now, and taxes would be low or even nonexistent. You would need only a very small federal govt., because the states and local people would handle their own local affairs. Federal would keep their nose out of local affairs. People would start having a real interest in govt again, to make sure corruption never reared its ugly head again. Then AMERICA could be land of heaven again You mostly need only one law: Do unto others like you want done to you.
