1. I would have term limits for all govt.offices.( freshman usually try to do whats right.

2 I would repeal NFTA and put a 33% tax on all imports.

3 I would repeal all personal taxes.

4 taxes would come from a 15% federal tax on everything u buy.

5 I would have universal health care. if u need care just go to a doctor or hospital. they would be paid by the govt.

6 I would have a universal court system where all who make less than 100,000 a year can get very cheap legal help.

7 I would pass a law to where if someone accuses u of a crime and it turns out they are lying they will get the punishment u would of.

8 I would do away with almost all prisons and bring in public whippings and hangings.

9 no one in any company or professional sports could make more than 15x the lowest paid worker.

I would line our borders with the troops that should still be in America. Defend our borders and scan for missiles if a missile is found heading to America we shoot it out of the air and reciprocate against that country hoping for full casualties civilian and military.

Well, if I were GW Bush, I'd request all my favorites for dinner, spank the monkey once more for old time sake and turn myself over to Al Qeada.........

This is just one of many things I would do, and of course it is over simplifeid i here or I would take up several pages alone, lol, but here goes.

1. take all branches of the military and turnthem into one
branch, no reserve uniots and no guard units, all active.

2. upon gradutaion of highschool EVERYONE has to make a
choice: college or military *

3. If you chose college, you keep your grades at a c or above.
If not, you go straight into the military after that
semester is complete.

4. Those that go military: Uncle Sam puts you in college
immediately for two years so you get an associates degree in
general education.

5. after those two years, the top 20% have a choice. 2 years
active duty military, or two more years of school at uncle
sams expense (bachelors degree in other words).

6. Those that continued on for their bachelors degree; top ten
percent have a choice: four years active duty (one year
per year of education provided), or OCS (Officer Candidate
School).

Now, those that are in their first two years (going for their associates degree) are basolutely one hundred percent non-deployable for any reason. They perform public works jobs, such as trash collector, street cleaner, tree removal, etc.

Those that are going for the ir Bachelors will be like the original National Guard, only deployable in their home state and neighboring state upon national emergency. And they are still doing the above mentioned public works jobs. however, they are also providing security for our airports, and borders etc.

Only when the soldier is completely out of school are they deployable outside of the united states, and they have to serve one year of deployable status for every year of education they get. There will be no more gi bill which is hard for some vets to utilize as you have to be enrolled incollege BEFORE you can receive it. In other words you have to pay for college first, opr make arrangements to pay first before you get the college money.

When our soldiers get done with their obligatory service time, they can choose to stay in or leave the service permenantly (no more inactive reserve status). If nothing else, when they do get out, they will have an associates degree in general education and thus a better chance at a job on the outside.

By employing our troops in the public works programs and border patrol, airport patrol, etc. we will be defending our country fro the inside. Oh, and no more one weekend a month two weeks a year training either. if you are in school for the military, you train EVERY weekend and twoMONTHS of the year, one month downsouth in the summer, and one month up north (michigan, new york, alaska) in the winter. this way our troops have the proper trainingt hey need and they are familiar witht he different clomates.

Unemployment will drop to almost nothing (if you get out of service btw and you refuse to work, guess what? you go back into service lol). Qulity of life will increase.





* For those that are medically incapable of serving in the military, yet are otherwise capable of being a service to the community (i.e. someone who has one leg), they will be put into a paripheral position for the military, such as office position, warehouse, etc. basically non-deployable. otherwise everything stays the same/ One year service for one year school.


Oh and by the way, this is not a draft! You are not being forced to go into the military under any circumstances. You always have the choice, wether it is college, getting a job after you get ot of service, or what.

Afraid that Congress would deny states the right to maintain their militias, which had a long history in the Colonial era, the nation passed the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1791, stating that "a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,…shall not be infringed."

National Guards belong to the State, and unless called into active duty by congress, are led by the govenor of that state. You can not incorporate them on a permanant basis into the US Army. As you can see above, the right of a State to keep a well-regulated militia is guarteed in the constitution.

Although it sounds like a good idea, I see nothing but the possibility of abuse and corruption in the education system you talk about. Hell, look at the abuse that Georgy boy and his cronies do now, and multiply that 10 times over. Money can buy good grades, it already does.

no i agree with mandatory military service after HS. I would change and make all serve 2 years and then enter college. 18-20 year olds stll have a lot to learn. The Military was probally the best decision i have made. yet i went in taking advantahe of them as they were me.. I have turned Democratic ( really no party) i have seen to many middle come people become lower or poverty stricken from our administration. I liked Clinton but he blew it on NAFTA. Organize a multinational sit-in peace rally where everyone holds hands all across the world. Visualize a world at peace. Sing a little Kumbayah just for effect.

If I were president I would build bridges to other countries. First one would be to England of course because they have been such a good neighbor and they are across the smallest ocean. We'll need the practice before building a bridge across the pacific.

We will have to put gas stations every few hundred miles across the ocean for filling up.

Maybe we could get Australia to participate by building some bridges to the Philippines and such places. China should be good at building them too. They could meet us half way. Then they could sell the gas at gas stations halfway across the Pacific and we could sell it on the other half.

Nobody has a sense of participation in this world. Everyone seems to think that natural resources can only be owned and controlled by one small cadre. Nobody seems to see that international participation can be good for everybody. Western style republicanism and a measure of regulated capitalism does the best job in this world now of assuring that anybody, any person or country, can participate in the global economy and improve themselves and their lot in life.

I would try to remind others of that and show how cooperation can work out better than zealotry and subjugation of the masses.

One more thing. What ever happened to "Walk softly and carry a big stick?"

Seems to me what is going on now is a lot of waving the stick and yelling about how big it is. On the other hand not to much is being done with the stick besides waving.

I'm laughing now at how many will interpret that last comment to mean that I think the stick should be used, when what I really meant was to point out that walking a little softer might go a long ways.

I could put this differently. Just how big your stick is might be a private matter until you have to actually use it.

Finesse does not seem to be the thing of politics. Neither for that matter does creativity and intuition.

At 17 years old I was in a state of wonder about how closed-minded and intractable politicians were, from the President on down. I remain in this state of wonder to this day. Think for a moment about Saddam Hussein, knowing that the big hammer was coming to smack him down and yet he could not vary his course to save his own hide. That is closed minded.

I'm going to stop here because of the danger of getting too far off topic. People need to look for creative solutions to problems and implement them. Only a good understanding of the motives of world leaders and the problems they face with their countries and places in the world facing world can lead to workable solutions. No one person can have enough knowledge to solve all the problems. That makes the president's job difficult, as is the job of other world leaders. Leaning on the advice of others who may have questionable priorities or interests can make things worse.

Iraq has been trying to get a government set up for years now. The presidents task, with the management of international relations and domestic relations is an enormous job.

What about taking the Elvis approach and dazzle while preparing to do something really good and beneficial, and implementing it effectively in a way that simplifies problems for others.

Make All 12 million illegals spend 4 years of active duty in military to get their citizenship. While in there, they construct a wall like the Great Wall of China along Mexican /US border. That should help Immigration problem

I know what you mean about the constitutional provisions for the militia/national guard. the problem is we no longer follow it any way. They were never meant to be used as regular troops except in their home state or neighboring state in time of STATE emergency. They were never supposed to be able to be called up and activated to leave their immediate area let alone the entire country.
What I am proposing we could incorporate the national guard ito it without taking it away fromt eh state as well. Their first two years (associates degree) would be in the guard, nondeployable. still training every weekend two months a year.
those that go onto their bachelors degree are now in the reserves, every weekend two months a year for training. Basically they go from state level to federal level.
