Well in a sense I disassociated myself from all of them as I moved 3000 miles away. Its not that I don’t love them but they are an emotional drain on me. A phone call or a card around the holidays will suffice. I’m a firm believer in "quality" time as opposed to quantity.

By reading others posts I guess I'm one of the few one that as to say no, we let each others live their own life whatever choices we made but we are always there if one is in need.

We can only judge our own life choices not our family choices, you don't have to agree with everything but it is not our place to judge, we only have to be there for them.

You know, most of the people in my family all hate each other, they disassociate themselves with each other, and yet to me, regardless of who or how they are, they are still family. I'm the only person in my family that still gets along with everybody.

Yep, from my own father. He decided to take the side of my step monster, the freakin liar that she is. It completely sucks, I miss being 'daddy's girl'. Nothing I say or do seems to work to get him back into my life.
