It also means that a man is able to take care of himself, and those dependant on him, like children. It means he knows how to contol his spending habits, not just getting things because he wants them. It indicates that he is responsible and able to hold a job.
A man that doesn't lurch from one financial crises to another. |

Most women ( not all ) are looking for a fella that is ' financially secure ' because they want the nice car, they want the nice house. If a dude doesn't have very good credit, the chances of him being able to provide those things for her are pretty slim. That means that she is going to go on to the next fella who may be more able to provide those things. Not to mention....I have yet to hear any woman say " I want a guy that isn't great to look at, who has no money and a bad credit history. That's my dream man. " lol I have a nice enough home. I have transportation. I don't need a man to get these things for me, & I am even willing to share, but I sure as hell am not going to let someone move in that will run up the bills & not help pay them. The last guy I was involved with wanted to move in a week after we started dating. He lied to me about everything. Everyone that knows him, even his family agrees that if I had let him move in I would have lost everything I have worked for. He was so screwed up his mother gave him money to buy a battery for his truck TWICE & he didn't do it. He spent the money on golfing once, & paintball the 2nd time. The 3rd time his dad went to the store & bought the battery. I thought "what the hell?" no way am I going to put up with this! He figured I was desperate enough to play that game, but NO WAY. So does this make me a bad person? Do you think I love my money too much to have a relationship? I may be old, fat& ugly, but I'm not desperate & stupid! |

No it wasn't. I just don't understand why it's that important. When you die, it makes no difference what your credit score is. While this may be true, any debt you've acquired is first taken from the estate before the estate is passed on to loved ones. For instance, if you own a house in your name and not your spouses name, and you die, the bank can ask for the loan in full or foreclose on the house (in some states they cannot, its just an example). Life insurance can help with covering debt from depleting ones estate. Not only do you have to deal with losing the love of your life, but now there's people knocking on the door with their hands out. Things you've bought together could also be taken. Why is this relevant? My wife didn't have a good credit score, but she didn't have any debt either. So people need to look beyond a credit score and look at the person as a whole. If they can't control their spending, move on. If they are working it out and getting things under control, grats! |

This is what bothers me. If you're SO good with money that you don't have debt, there is no excuse other than laziness or irresponsibility for not having good credit. It is financially irresponsible to never have credit because credit doesn't cost you money (if you do it right). Credit takes time to build and you are setting yourself up for failure for the future when you'll need credit to start a business or make a large purchase. Building credit is so easy. All you have to do is pay your bills on time. That's it! Therefore knowing a person's credit score tells a lot about someone's ability to be responsible. I would date but never marry someone with a crappy credit score. |

Hey, My income is held against me as a yard stick so I can hold the same yardstick to a woman! I pay my bills and have very little money left over because of it. I guess being responsible does not count as long as you are rich!
Keep this in mind, If I did manage to finally break out of the financial quandary I am in and became rich like many men do ON THEIR OWN do you think I or they want some Gehtto bunny trying to get at my money by playing that "I love you so much" crap. Men get sick of the crap women feed us. Do you understand how insulting it is to us men to see "looking for my prince charming?" on sites like this. Some men play the game and try to come off as genteel. Then when Sweetie finds out she was kissing nothing more than a horney toad it is "BOO HOO, men are so bad!" I will not respond to women looking for princes. My armor is not shining, it is rusty and dented from all of the fighting I have to do to get ahead. My horse is not white. I am not a pretty boy from a well to do family. I am having to make a life for myself alone. Do you honestly think I am going to give anyone who did not contribute to the work it takes to get rich to some woman who did nothing for it just because she bats her eyes at me and offers me some *****? I can just as easily go to the Mustang Rance and pay for a piece! Even better yet, pull into some club in a Benz and wave some flash in one of the local Cottontails faces and pay her to get what I want and toss her out when I am done with her. I ain't no prince. I am a king. My kingdom may be small but it is mine! Princes can lick the back of my sweaty coin purse! You want to play among rich guys be ready to show your bank ledgers! If I was rich it would be the ONLY way I would remotely take any woman seriously in a relationship. I cannot count the number of times I seen withered old men with teenage girls under their arm and they are NOT friends or family. Think that fluffy little cottontail loves him for his charm? More often then not rich guys need to watch their wallets. If you are all that you can show it without being tasteless. Life sucks and Love is a Battlefield! |

Don't forget the Lab Reports, these will need to be in triplicate and submitted with the credit report. Also, a color copy of your Drivers lisc. front and back. We can date fifteen days from submission barring any problems with the background investigation.

She had a successful business and a very good amount of money in the bank - which I didn't care to know about. Some people are just afraid of credit cards. I've had one since I was 18. They got me a little in trouble in my early 20s, but I've gotten out of that and pay them off 100% every month. |

My finances are noones business, until such time as we become exclusive. At that point...nothing but HONESTY. I would give nothing less than I would ask. If there is a problem at that point, we would communicate as to how to proceed.
Life and Love aint about the finances. But it is about responsibility. JMO |

I keep wishing someone would steal my identity! With my lousey credit... they'de be bringing it back in a big hurry!! I always say that crap. If someone stole mine, i'd probably be better off. i had to deal with credit fraud and even worse.. in my own house by a guy i was in love with. and because it was all done on the internet through and ISP that was registered under my name.. in the end i ended up taking the hit for all the damage. :( it was the worst. and to this day i'm still fighting to fix it. ya know? there's stuff on there thats got me totally bummed. and to be judged by that would just be bullsh*t. because we don't know each other well enough to know the backstories. yanno? |
