I guess. I misinterpreted. Im not sure. I dont really consider working as being in service to someone. Maybe because I enjoyed my career, made my money and got out young. Everyone is different in that respect. If you have a horrible job that you hate, then yeah I could see it becoming a service in a sense that you hate yourself for doing and feel like you have no choice. |

Are you on or off the wagon if you start drinking again? I always get those two confused.

Eljay suggested: Exactly! You can't prove anything doesn't exist unless you're God. So stop claiming God doesn't exist as an affirmation. It's contradictory.
No not exactly at all. You were attempting to claim that someone was posing as god or behaving as if they were omniscient by simply declaring that the god of the bible is no more believable than a fairy tale. This is true and a person would have every right to make this claim. In fact archeologists and cultural anthropologists will often refer to the bible as nothing more than the "Christian Creation Mythology." Ah - but look a little closer. Nothing about "belief" was mentioned in the post. Had they stated they didn't believe God existed, I would not have commented. They made a statement of fact. One does not "assume" they are refering to what they believe unless they state it. I couldn't care less what Archeologists or C.A. say. What gives them the right to have their opinions even considerd? |

How was her statment about the bible being fictional and impossible to prove any different than you spending hours on these forums attempting to convince us that god does exist? There is no difference. She has a right to make that comment, just as you have a right to attempt to lay your faith based beliefs on people. There is no difference. Yeah I realize that scientists and highly educated individuals with years of experience in their prospective fields of study means absolutely nothing to you. Alright go back to your bible study eljay. Sigh. |
