My reaction, again those with no uterus have no business!

Spot on!

Possibly why the catholic church is railing against female priests ...

People need to look at their own beliefs or religon. People seem to preach ideas that are against their religon....JMO

Like being a 'pro-choice' Catholic.
Heres my thing. Pro-life Catholic in a abortion issue is acually committing a sin. Tho shall not judge..Am I wrong?

I don't understand your question.
Maybe that wasn't the best analogy but Ill will stick with it. Is it Catholics beliefs that judging someone else is a sin? Isn't the Pro-lifer judging someone else's sins?

Not always, depends on the indivdiual. The pro lifer simply believes that abortion is wrong, a sin, against Catholic theology. You can be pro-life without being a Catholic, but according to official Catholic doctrine you can not be a Catholic and be pro-choice.
Not always. I hope god lets me in on when I can sin!!!!! You can not judge others by being Prolife or ProChoice. If abortion is a sin you can not judge that sin.

Of course I can judge it. Otherwise who you are you and society to judge me if I robbed a bank, stole from my employer, or broke into your home???
We define what behaviors and actions are right and wrong, its called the law. If we break the laws, we are subject to the consequences. Or will you not judge me if I break into you home and steal from you? Will you say, thats OK Bro, who am I to judge?
Some people feel that abortion, under all circumstances is never the right thing to do.

Well arnt you talking about two kinda laws. Laws of the church and laws of the people. Isnt that where freedom of religion really comes into play?

You are talking about holding people responsable for breaking the Law. Breaking into homes, murder, rape. VOTE LOCALLY!! Is the churchs law not a seperate law. If its not, Ive got a bunch of religons with their own laws that want their rights.

I didn't say that. I'm not in the mood for a deep discussion like that one.laugh

I thought that's what he might be referring to...hence, the question mark.

A good analogy is the Electral Collage. It limits big states from having all the say.

Scary thought. One religion has many, many members. They vote according to church policy. (Btw, that scares the crap out of me.)

Now I'm thinking about Muslim countries. There are non-Muslim people living there. There are even Christians living there. The laws are the Muslim way. And it's not a pretty picture.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

I am still lost with what point you are trying to make.

adj4u's photo
Thu 11/13/08 10:10 PM
well i am not in the mood neither but hey it distracts me so

everyonr is saying seperation of church and state but it says

congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

therefor it can not establish a religion (you have to believe)

but if you do believe they can not say you can not believe nor cna not practice said belief

or stop you from telling others what you believe

so when push come to shove in actuality the believer has the right to speak the religion that they believe in

in speaking of said religion they may tell their beliefs

if their beliefs conflict with your beliefs then you do not have to listen but you can not shut them up

so if they see things against their religion that is being practiced they have the "RIGHT" to speak against it

does that mean the law should be made to change because of it

no because hat would be passing a law establishing said religion be default

so are we talking abortion or gay rights here i came in late

Please read it again. I see the Muslim religion making the laws of the land. I don't want to see that here with religion.
