Obama won the debate hands down despite the few stumbles that he made. He already had my vote, and now he has the votes of many other people. Wake up people! The economy is about to tank. America simply can't afford any Repulican ideology right now. Go Obama!!!

I like Obama and yes, it's a dirty campaign right now and it will get worse. but the last thing i want is for another republican making my dollars turn into 50cents. if McCain is elected our dollar will be worth 30cents by the end of his first term as president. How can you believe and vote as a maverick for almost 3 decades and say you're going to change it all now because you want to be president.

Obama is learning and he's young and very bright. He may not know the outcome of where he's going but he is a proven leader.

McCain keeps talking about how he can work and has worked with democrats on a bypartisan basis, ok that fine but why has he voted with Bush so often over these last 8 years. You can be a maverick 10% of the time and vote to sink the economy 90% or vote for big goverment.

People vote for something different not this back woods bs this country went through 50 years ago.

Good luck and no matter who you vote for make it count and that means even if you vote for "that old white wrinkly dude"...Paris Hilton...lol

wow
i just finished watching the S&L scandal
it just strengthens the fact that i'm not voting McCain
We cant....our country cannot withstand someone like him in office.
so.....now what.

i guess...obama IS the way to vote

question...do the votes that go to the 3rd parties or write ins eventually go to mccain or obama? my father told me that after i told him i was voting for ron paul. he was worried they would go to mccain seeing that he is a republican.

becca my understanding and please correct if I am wrong is that those that elect to write in their candidates are lost votes for DEM/REP parties.

ok

so, what if, hypothetically, so many americans are irritated at the selection that say 45% vote for ron paul, 30% for obama and 25% for mccain
still no chance ron paul will be president?

Becca,

It's my understanding that if you vote for a third party, that vote stays with the 3rd party.

I am of the opinion that it takes away votes from the Democrats because there is no way the 3rd party will win.
Maybe that's what your father is talking about.

Transcript from debate:

Brokaw: There are new economic realities out there that everyone in this hall and across this country understands that there are going to have to be some choices made. Health policies, energy policies, and entitlement reform, what are going to be your priorities in what order? Which of those will be your highest priority your first year in office and which will follow in sequence?

Sen. McCain?

McCain: The three priorities were health...

Brokaw: The three -- health care, energy, and entitlement reform: Social Security and Medicare. In what order would you put them in terms of priorities?

(McCain writing down notes of 3 things feverishly)

McCain: I think you can work on all three at once, Tom. I think it's very important that reform our entitlement programs.

POINTS:
1. McCain could not remember the three points! He had to stop and write them down!laugh

2. He says he can work on ALL 3 but he had to stop his campaign to work on the bailout? laugh

Wasn't that video an eye opener?! I researched some more and saw that the video was all about the facts.

I don't understand why he wasn't put in jail too! I guess it's all in who you know.
