I do not vote. I am not going to go into the whole thing on y I just don't. But I just got called a bad person, because I do not vote. Does not voting really make one a bad person?

HELL NO! I dont vote either never have, and i may never do it at all. I have my reasons... its a personal choice, like the kind of food you like, doesnt make you a bad person. Tell them to form an oppinion.

I think it's your right to decide if you vote or not. I usually tell people I'll vote for the first candidate that says if he (or she) is elected they are going to screw our country as hard as possible, because that's the honest person! I did vote in the last election, but I'm undecided at this time rather I will vote.

I think voting for voting sake is wrong, if your gonna vote,know the issues.

We do not have an election coming up. Does not matter, I do not follow politics. But I really can not see how it can be that bad to not vote.

i refuse...i dont want jury duty...not to mention it doesnt count...and dont tell me it does...the last two elections proved that...not to mention the cost...how are we expected to pay for that crap...they pull in multi hudreds of millions of dollars...they are all crooks...im movin to iceland!

As long as you do not ever complain about your country or anything to do with politics (or talk about them).... there is no problem.

I would say a bad person is an inaccurate description. I would describe non voters as irresponsible citizens, and sociologically selfish individuals. But that hardly means they have a bad character or are "bad" overall.

You're not a bad person. I'm not bad either. I'm not registered yet. I will soon though...but I have no idea about the political issues. I just want someone in office to know what he/she is doing.

I dont think U are bad but (supposedly) I, like many others, fought for your right to vote, and I hate to see that right go to waste!!!!

I think most people dont vote because they dont understand the voting process. If they made it easier for people, I think more would vote!

I think every citizen whether they vote or not has the right to complain about the country and especially about it's politics.

Afterall, we have a one part system here, the "Republicrats". So, show me a difference. Oh yeah that's right, we have the choice of voting for either the oil company candidate or the drug company candidate. Some choice!

Non-voters are sick and tired of the Republicrat system and are not irresponsible or sociologically selfish. Rather, they are the smart ones who recognize that nothing ever changes and will not change until the rest of America gets wise and stops electing "the lesser of the two evils".

there is no problem talking about the quality of the country if you dont vote...i think it is more american to make the choice and choose not to vote than just vote ignorantly...stay the course...apathy kills!

I would agree with this to an extent. Adding my own opinion to this would include people who have not been paying attention to the issues, so when they come up during election years, don't feel they are educated enough about them to make a stand or even to have an opinion about them. I would rather they sit out than to vote for the candidate they think dresses the nicest or kisses more babies.
