You know there is one commonality between all intelligent individuals in this world and that is the fact that they can understand that NOONE knows. People speculate, contemplate, test and rethink but noone knows. Noone knows it all. Noone has the iron clad answers for everyone else. What it comes down to is knowing what you feel is right for you. That is it. The power hungry people of the past who designed these religions with the intent of controlling people was wrong from the beginning design of the religion. If their intent was benign, they would have never included "this is the one true and right way". They would have conceded that all religions stand on the same premise, base, context, believablity, etc.... hmmmmm interesting but again how do you know that "I don't know" Do you know for a fact that I have not spoken and listen to the Lord Almighty......hmmmmmmmm No religion here...just a personal relationship with the Christ who showed me beyond all reason that He is real.........Do I need any more proof.....hmmmmmm |

But I don't believe you ever saw or spoke to the Prime Creative source. Do I know it for a fact? There are no facts, only personal opinions. Proof is a personal experience. JB |

HUMMMMMM". 1) IT IS SURE THAT ... You don't need anymore proof for YOURSELF!!! You are convinced, happy and satisfied with whatever it is you consider to be acceptable proof for yourself that your god exists, and talks to you personally. And that is all that YOU need to believe for YOURSELF. 2) IT IS JUST AS SURE THAT ... if others do not accept YOUR proof as PROOF for themselves, it just isn't proof for others. That god speaks to you on personal basis can be something YOU might believe in, but it doesn't constitute in any way, PROOF TO OTHERS, that god exists, as you claim him to be, much less speaks to you personally. If you could just find peace with the fact that it might very well be true FOR YOU, but impossible to prove for those whom don't believe in same beliefs as you, you would give up this losing battle of aimlessly attempting to prove the 'UNPROVABLE'. If you could refrain from that bad losing battle habit of yours, you would avoid all this unnecessary hardship you bring upon yourself of having all those people telling you , and explaining to you why they don't believe in that which you TELL is THE TRUTH, instead of just the truth for YOU. Assuming that is true for you should be true for everyone else, is not THE TRUTH. IT IS JUST AN ASSUMPTION!!! ... and you know what they say about people whom assume!!! |

If Feral had all the proof she needed for herself, then she would not so vehemently post in a manner as to attract criticism from those who do not believe as she does.
There is a difference in them between those who "believe" and post open points of discussion, and those who post in a defensive manner that on one hand provokes criticism of logic, and yet denounces it. |

There you have it 'feral'!!! The long and short forms of the same observation. Distorting the meaning of 'personal proof' (acceptable to one), and mischaracterizing it as 'public proof' (not acceptable to all), will never make for an interesting discussion or debate. A faulty premise from the start, will never turn into an illuminating debate. It will always remain an obstinate and pointless (stale) match, arguing about the sex of angels!!! In honestly seeking what is true in a proposed debate with others, agreeing on context, perspective and simple word definitions, matters much more than jumping at some sort of half baked conclusions (not supported by anything other than personal claims). |

I have one BIG question. You admit that Ancient Egypt goes back to at least 3000 BC (3150 BC is general 1st dynasty). If the great flood of Noah happened in 2348BC how come the Egyptians a thriving almost 700 year culture with writing NEVER recorded a great flood ?
I would like FC to please answer this. |

YOU DON'T KNOW 'feral'!!! You can keep confusing BELIEVING and KNOWING all you want, YOU DON'T KNOW!!! Believing is a personal phenomenon. Believing is an 'assent of of the mind', and not even close to knowledge !!! Try and make an effort and understand this SIMPLE THRUTH feral: ASSENT OF MIND, and PERSONAL PHENOMENON is equal to BELIEF, and will NEVER mean knowledge!!! One, on his very own volition, brings oneself to BELIEVE (distinct from knowing) in something which one CONSTRUCTS MENTALLY to be true for oneself. WE ALL KNOW YOU BELIEVE!!! ...AND WE ALL KNOW, ... YOU DON'T KNOW!!! None of us do. As you often write in capital letters: GET IT!?!?!? IT IS WHAT IT IS!!! P.S.: Please answer 'beachbum's' question on the above post. |

I came across this which is interesting. I am not aware how accurate it is, or the accuracy of the timeline. The Egyptian priest accurately described the creation of the original Archipelagos; which was the ancient name of the islands in the Aegean Sea. He accurately described the geomorphology of the former Aegean fertile plains transformation into the modern Aegean Sea. This description is supported by scientific evidence that the area of the Aegean Sea was above sea level in 9,600 BC. How could these events have been so accurately recorded in ancient times, unless the sacred Egyptian records actually existed? The Bury translation states, “what residue of the land then existing serves to confirm its truth?” and “And, just as happens in small islands, what now remains compared with what then existed is like the skeleton of a sick man, all the fat and soft earth having wasted away, and only the bare framework of the land being left.” Jowett translation states: “The consequence is, that in comparison of what then was, there are remaining only the bones of the wasted body, as they may be called, as in the case of small islands, all the richer and softer parts of the soil having fallen away, and the mere skeleton of the land being left.” However, it does appear that there may well be some recordings of floods by Egyptians. I hope I understood correctly, that was the question. |
