"Daym your spouse/bf/gf/partner is ugly!" How do you react? If they were saying it about me, I won't care and just laugh. Saying it about somebody I care for is another story. I'd say a few words slowly and clearly to make sure they understand a few things and maybe leave them a little scared. If I'm feeling nice, maybe I just tell them 'maybe I know something they don't' |

Depending on who it was....would determine the level of my verbal and non-verbal response. You can insult me...but not the Lady I am with.

"Daym your spouse/bf/gf/partner is ugly!" How do you react? "Yeah, I know, but the dog thought he was a chew toy, so I kept him." Ok, that's not nice.. I've had people make a comment or two when I was dating someone... but hell, he said the same thing of himself... so I figured, why defend him? |

I'd say something along the lines of "What you think should matter...why?"

if it were a friend.. i would walk away, and probibly be deleting a friend from my phone later that day.. if it were a stranger... i used to date an army guy... i knowhow to bring down a 300lb 6 foot tall guy with one hand.. i may feel the need to share those skills...
seriously... i would mention that i like/love this person.. and that their opinion on their looks didnt matter to me in the least... i was the one with them, not you.. so your opinion is like your asshole, everyones got one, but i prefer you keep it to your self! |

I don't know anyone who would say something like that. My ex boyfriends friends said it to him in front of me all the time. They told him he could "do better" & encouraged him to cheat. He's not had a girlfriend since I left him 8 years ago, because he tried to cheat & impress them. She just wanted a free dinner & drinks! |

I'd say "well, it's a good thing you're not dating him then, huh?"
that statement may or may not be followed by "the finger" depending on mood. |
