Yes but you aren't female flying etc etc....you know how big brothers can be!

But, really. What difference does it make if you met the person online or at a bar? If you are not smart, and don't ask the right questions, you could still meet up with a weirdo...TED BUNDY was not online! People online are real! There are wierdos online and offline You should use common sense no matter what method you use for dating. very true |

My friends wanted me to take a picture to make sure I wasn't going out with someone with an arm growing out of thier forehead.
My family trusts my judgement. (But, of course my brother had to throw in "It ain't a long boney clitoris Dude....it is a Penis....don't let'em tell you otherwise!") |

Ok I would fall out of my chair if my brother ever said that to me!

What can I say Auburn....I got a small but funny and cool family. Like I said....they really do trust my judgement....same as I trust thiers.
I would have no problem if my brother or sister went on line for that sort of thing. They are big kids who have been around the block. |

I have met alot of ppl from online in real life..Driven lots of places and seen alot of country (east coast) and enjoyed myself. Yes, my family and friends thought I was nuts and in all reality I probably was. But life is a gamble no matter what you do..I can be at work and some crazy person come in with a gun and kill us all. That is the chance we take when we wake up each day.

I met Wolfie online and after talking a while, decided that he would take a bus and meet me. He lived in Pa and I in Ohio. Of course I had told all my family about him and of his bus trip and schedule. When I and a friend went to the bus station to pick him up, lo and behold, there was my sister, a brother( I know how those brothers can be), my granddaughter and great grandkids were there to officially greet him when he arrived. We all went out and had breakfast. Things worked out well. I moved to Pa to be with him. May 17th, we were married. So, sometimes online romances DO WORK.

Yes you are right! Could get hit by a bus going to the grocery store. Oldest brother, ugg, not even sure I'll bother with him so I don't have to hear his comments. I'm widowed and I don't think he particularly cares for the thought of baby sis dating again. One time he said to my other brother, "does she have a Boyfriend yet?!" and the word BOYFRIEND was said so strong and disgustingly.

Long story that would be a book to write. Lets just say as sad as it is, I am better off without the stress of those situations. |

I've done this once before, but I just never knew some of the snide comments being said by oldest brother about my dating, period. But I am older now by a double hand full of years, and frankly really don't care what he says or thinks. I just don't want to hear it, ya know. |

Thank you auburngirl (Hugs) My brother really didn't approve of the online dating thing. He was worried about my safety, but he did approve of Wolfie, and all my family told me he was a keeper. I don't know how to use the icons on here.

I told my Mom I was talking to someone online...and she said, "He could be a serial killer for all you know!" So I didn't bother to tell her it was through a dating site.
My own mother doin the old double standard too, since she thought it was nice when my brother met his wife online. They've been married 11 years now. Stupid brother gets all the breaks. |
