 Would you date a person that was very involved with their church ?
of course .. it shows a part of their personality that usually depicts love for God, love for their fellow man, and concern for their community and neighbors

I would but lol I go to church...not all the time mind you but I do love my church family and I do love God. I don't expect all my friends to love God, I have plenty who don't. But I think the person I'm looking for...if you can call it that...would be someone who shared the basic same beliefs as I do. Now...do they have to go to church...no...but believe in God...yes because thats how I'd want to raise our family. But again mind you I love all my friends who don't believe in God and I don't pressure them I just would rather have my guy believe in Him.

I would not date a man who did not have similar faith as myself. That being said, I'm sure whatever church he likes attending would be fine for me. If he wants to be more involved in that church than I do, I would hope he'd understand...but I would not try to prevent him whatever time and effort he wanted to put into it himself.

That all depends on the definition of the word, "very". I have an aunt who obsessively does things for her religion, and it isn't exactly a sign of mental health.  A healthy balance of living and spirituality doesn't preclude a lack of participation in someone else's faith. Wife #1 was a wiccan, Wife #2, well, she hit me with that bible once or twice. I just turned it back on her, by opening it and showing her about my friend plank.
