Merry Christmas y'all from very snowy Jackson

The Good Husband Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company's Christmas Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't taste like alcohol at all. He didn't even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he did something wrong. Jack had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! Jack sits up a nd sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick; 'Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Jillian' He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, 'Son... what happened last night?' 'Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door ' Confused, he asked his son, 'So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me??' His son replies, 'Oh THAT!... Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed, 'Leave me alone, I'm married!!' Broken Coffee Table $239.99 Hot Breakfast $4.20 Two Aspirins $.38 Saying the right thing, at the right time- PRICELESS!!! |

I loved those pics TelephoneMan...beautiful...I love waterfalls...love taking the extra hikes to go find them (of course the scenic nature along the way I spot :) is wonderful too). Some on here might know I'm a photography nut...especially nature and the pic above is one of my favorite pics of the Hidden Falls at Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. I have a few other (okay quite a few) pictures of the area and the surrounding area. I haven't loaded new ones on in awhile but am planning on doing so tonight. I love taking pictures so its a lot but the one above and the new ones I'm putting on tonight are some of my favorite ones :D. My joy of God's wonders is enjoying playing the flute, singing, and enjoying His natural wonder to its fullest. |

I thought I would stop in and say "hi" over here. I just saw this thread, and I thought I would be friendly and stop in for a cup of java. Or, I might ask Britty to show me the correct etiquette in enjoying a "spot of tea"... I have one belief (among many) pertaining to my personal faith. I do not think I should ever get caught up in an argument concerning my faith. To me, it does no effectual good to argue one's point openly and (to me) rather foolishly in a public setting (like in forums...LOL). I will always be a Christian man, I do not think that will ever change. I love thinking about God, and praying to God, and sometimes just sitting back in awe as God does something spectacular with my life. I write songs about my faith and my experiences as a Christian, and I like to sing them and play my guitar for the Lord. I also like to play the Native American flute and close my eyes and think about God. In my life, my faith brings me comfort and a pray to visualize survival in the future. It also gives me hope of an life after I depart from this present human body. In my faith, I will make heaven my home one day as long as I keep walking the narrow path as best I can. So, pulling up a chair, I sit down at the table with other friends to discuss your religions. I like to learn new things, and try to understand how people think and believe even if I do not agree for there ways for my life, I am still a gentleman no matter what folks believe. Jim "TelephoneMan" beautifully worded and I fully agree |

God's Flower
A delicate flower Seemingly tender and fragile However she is also strong... Withstanding... The cold of heartbreak The wind of hatred The storms of discontent Sunshine glows on her Blessing her with His warmth Loving her forever Reminding her everyday That He is there For He will never Give her more than she can handle Delicate flower that she is Because in her She's a strong elm Growing tall and mighty Even as on the outside She remains a daisy On the inside she's powerful Powerful with love Waiting to bloom into a beautiful rose For the one He has meant for her A caring soul She longs for a garden to call her own Tiny flowers she'll help bloom into life All under His warm protective glow Gentle rain cleanses her petals As His voice cleanses her soul "You will have your day, my child You will be all that you are meant to be and more Remember Me is all I ask, my Dear For I will Guide You to Your Greatest Desires" TNP 7/9/08 ...I decided to repost this, its been awhile but I've just reread it and felt a need to share it. :) |

I was hoping someone would start the christian coffee house back up again I missed it
Especially today... Just before work I got a call that my Grandmom had a stroke last night. She doesn't really comprehend she's here, still alive, my Daddy made it up there (she lives in MI, we're here in OH) today and sat by her side and talked to her. We're trying to contact our minister so he can go up there, he's kind of become the family minister for both our family's weddings and other things...even if it is out of state. So please keep my Grandmom in your prayers for whatever is best and in God's Plans, I believe she's 89 years old, so she's lived as nice long life and her husband of what had almost been 70 years has already made his voyage up to our Father in Heaven about four years ago. I went up there on a kind of spur of the moment trip just a little over a month ago just to see her...just in case...my dad has gone up every month for the past year...we were planning on going up this Tuesday. I wasn't going to be able to make it but Daddy was still going. So I'm thankful for my little week with her. Please keep her in your prayers, my daddy and the rest of our family. We have a large very loving family that she has guided as the loving matriarch through the years and loved very dearly by all of us... |
