There is nothing worse in this country than Americans who hate America. You obviously like the fact that you can express your thoughts freely. It really ticks me off to hear people bash the president, no matter who he is. You can have opinions and disagree with things, but to bash our president is just wrong. Try doing his job for a day and see how relaxing your life is. No matter who gets elected, I really believe in respect for the presidental office.

If you only knew what is really going on behind closed doors..... I don't know what goes on, neither do you. I don't agree with alot that is happening in the world. I just don't like disrespect. I know i'm alone on this, but I just wanted to put it out there. |

Actually I do know what is going on. I have a good idea of what is happening and has been happening for some time now that many people are unaware of or don't want to believe, and it ain't pretty.

Believe what you may, till you have a son who you must send to war because of what some idiot thinks....we have every right to bash him and bash him I will...he is a friggin nutcase... |

I'm sorry your son was sent to war, I can't imagine anything worse for a mother. Guys I'm not saying I agree with everything he does, I'm saying that it's disappointing that nobody respects this country. Terrorists are why we're at war,I hate the war, I wish they would all come home. I am grateful to those who serve in the military so that the war doesn't come here. It just frustrates me to see so much arrogance about the office itself. I think GW did the best he could, it may not be what I or you thought was best, but he was elected. I'm not defending Bush, just frustrated ya know?

it's personal from new orleans, yaya, and i'll tell you what really happened, and what one phone call could have done in an e-mail some time if you want to hear. i'll warn you though, it's really bad, and they all knew what was happening, and they let it happen on purpose...three of my friends died because of their.....it's unreal, i'll just tell you that for now.
p.s. it will open your eyes forever, and make you look at everything differently.....you decide. |

So wait, just because we are calling as we see it, means we don't respect our country? I don't think so.
I love this country, but it saddens me to see what has become of it in recent years. And what has happened to it, has every bit to do with the people in charge, as well as us for letting it happen. Do you realize we don't even have a right to a fair trial anymore, thanks to the Patriot Act? There are no terrorists, except for those in our own camp. They are the ones that made 9-11 happen, to set up this never ending war, to which there is no real enemy, only a media spun one. This was never about protecting us, our freedoms or whatever you want to call it, but it was about controlling us, enslaving us. And little by little this is happening. Don't believe me? Let me give you a little history lesson: In 1933 there was an event called the Reichstag, which for those not familiar, was when a German parliament building was set on fire. The following day the Preussische Pressedienst (Prussian Press Service) reported that "this act of incendiarism is the most monstrous act of terrorism carried out by Bolshevism in Germany". Sound familiar? Adolf Hitler then used this event as a means to pass the Reichstag Fire Decree, suspending most civil liberties in Germany, and effectively making it a communist country. Patriot Act anyone? "Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it" Don't you see? 9-11, was the modern day Reichstag. The war is on US. |

I think what happened with Katrina was terrible. I was so mad about the delay. I know alot could've been done to help save a lot of people. I'm not saying bad things don't happen, because they do. There are people in our country who are corrupt and selfish no doubt. On a positive note, which the media hardly shows, I saw Americans helping other Americans. That's what makes this country great. I guess I am to patriotic I just try and do whatever small thing I can to help. In that instance, I donated blood and sent money to funds. |

Look guys, I'm not starting a jsh political war here. I am just disapointed and venting. I can do that because I live in a free country and am greatful for it. I respect your opinions and that you guys took the time to comment honestly. I'm not looking for an "inside scoop" of the white house, just have a little respect for this country.

I still don't understand how speaking out on what see as wrong and corrupt, means we don't respect our country. Can we not do both? |
