Topic: you are on a ship that is sinking... | |
---|---|
you get in a lifeboat with 6 other people. once on the boat, you realize the lifeboat has too many people in it, it is doomed to sink and everyone dies unless one person jumps out and sacrifices their life. there is one person on the lifeboat that is very sick and will die eventually either way within days. your options are to toss the sick person out against their will, jump out yourself, or do nothing. WHAT DO YOU DO?

if they're going to die anyway, toss them out!
I'd jump out cuz I can swim good.
sharks swim good too

Toss the sick person out. I'm not cold hearted I swear, but if they are going to die before we can get rescued, there's no point in someone else dying for no reason.

Now you never said anything about sharks. What else haven't you told us?
Drain the water out of the bath tub

I know one thing for sure I won't die in peace thanks!

keep them around...cuz the other five are going to need something to eat in a few days...
I can't swim but I could never throw a child away

as someone who sails the great lakes,(waves can get to 40 ft, believe it) never assume you are safe in a lifeboat. look for other means of things that float, or carry your own army inflatable, they are at an army-navy store, and are small, and can fit in a side pouch in a suitcase. inflatables can save your life, and lifeboats will go under in a storm.....should be called deathboats.

I would jump out........

you can foil most sharks, if you know what you're doing....so what other dangers are there??

If I were the sick one, I would volunteer, so hopefully they will too and no one has to make a call like that. This is the best case scenario as far as I can see. I do not know that I would be able to condemn an man healthy or dying, but I have not been there yet.
