 i like killing threads

i killed at least 5 threads and have been ignored in every thread i posted in whats wrong with me? 
(i'm sure i won't get an answer because it's ignore-Jonas day  )
Well, I have discovered that there are a couple of cliques here whose members will only reply to posts made by other members of their cliques. I have tried to interact with them but it's clear that I'm not one of "them" so they ignore me. Eventually I figure out who their cliques consist of and I just don't bother with those people anymore. cliques are full of insecure people

When I first signed up here (end of '06) the clique situation was much worse. It was still a very small site, and the "original group" was very exclusionary.
As more members arrived (and there was a merger with another site), the old clique people became increasingly critical -- we had a lot of posts along the lines of "I don't like it here anymore, this isn't MY JSH" -- displaying this propietary attitude, as if the site was made, and should remain, for THEM only. Fortunately, most, if not all, of those people are gone now. They made it pretty uncomfortable for newbies there for awhile.... |

I have a group of friends on here whose posts I really enjoy -some people have called us a clique- I don't think we are, but I guess any group that hangs together a lot could be called that..I don't think we are insecure..we just enjoy each other. I personally thought that the people who called us that were insecure. I can't help but make friends on here, and some people seem to be upset by that. |

it took a little while for me to feel comfortable and welcome here, but I stuck it out and there are great ppl on here that I would consider my friends and would hang out with them anytime!

I don't see you & your friends as a clique at all -- you've never been exclusionary -- except when someone was attacking! --which is another thing altogether. And you've never deliberately ignored anyone who tried to participate (legitimately) in one of your threads, either, as far as I have seen. Getting back to the original topic, I think a lot of it has to do with the people in any given thread....I have a pretty good idea who is going to reply to something I write, and who isn't. Sometimes they surprise me, but not often.... |
