THIS IS A SERIOUS SUBJECT. IF YOU WISH TO FLAUNT YOUR SENSE OF HUMOUR OR GO OFF ON SOME HUGE TANGENT, PLEASE REFRAIN.
Okay? Let's talk. Do you find yourself having a really competitive mindset in certain aspects of your life? What areas do you feel you "compete" in with others, and do you think it's healthy? Please respond with at least two sentences. GO! |

I rarely feel the need to compete with others. On the other hand, I often find myself competing against my self. I like to try and do thing faster, or better, or more efficient than the last time I did it.
But on occasion, I get caught up in trying to out do someone else. It usually ends badly. It is usually over something that really was stupid anyway. And I learned, never ever compete with another girl over a guy. It is so not worth it. |

I am not competitive, and I thought of this topic first. My topic would have been better though, because it was the first one thought up. Stick that in your little smelly grass hovel you live in. I live in a mansion, and drive expensive cars. You got nothing on me, ya hear? NOTHING!

You have to be competitive to get anywhere in life. You compete for your job. You compete for your house. You compete for your mate. Life is basically just one big competition, with all that other stuff thrown in.

Let's see...whom should I eat first, the narcissistic mansion-dweller, or the snotty one-sentencer?
Indeed, as wiley said, there is a lot of pressure in our SOCIETY to compete; we live in a very competitive culture that PRESSURES US to move up in the social, occupational, intellectual, grammatical, etc. ladder. It's just a matter of whether or not we will succumb to that pressure, on whatever level, in whatever area, from whatever direction, etc.. Et cetera. |

Yea, I'm competitive. With any sport I always need to be first, or best. I was never pressured by my parents to be the best, so I don't really know where it came from. I suppose I just like to be the number one guy, and recognized for it. Though I'm not arrogant, I swear.
I think its healthy in pushing myself to become better physically and mentally. I would say that its probably not so healthy when it comes to making good friends |

I see.
My apologies. |
