Then perhaps if you were to elaborate concerning the Smirnoff comment in the first place you wouldn't have gotten your finger stuck in your nose. I did not say you couldn't post or should go away. Neither should morning song. The rules..... please read them, do NOT say anything about praying. YOU said you were offended. I asked you to show me where it states that you have the right to not be offended. Twist it, turn it, but the question still remains. Who made you the bouncer? What if I find your avitar ofensive? I don't have the right to not be offended either. As long as no rules or laws are being broken I simply walk away and find my happiness elsewhere rather than forcing my surroundings to please me. <- Diet Pepsi.
Honestly, I prefer Diet Coke, with lime if you have it. The Smirnoff thing. Indeed, it should not have been directed at you. My apology. Smirnoff was created as a second profile, not an avatar - wrong choice of words on my part; to come in and do the dirty work of someone who has a reputation to protect. I thought you were another one until I checked and your profile seemed real. So I was in error. For that, I do apologize. I just couldn't understand why someone with whom I have never exchanged words, who has but 2 post, should be so angry with me. It makes no sense. Mr. Smirnoff was much much worse, evil in his venom. Makes me shiver; he was hateful. It seemed odd to me that his first post was an attack on me and he knew so much about me. Strange. His profile was brandy new, no friends, no essay, no pic, no interests, nothing but an abiding hatred for me. Hmmmmm You are silly! I don't hate you! I simply do not agree with your comments concerning prayer in a post in ANY forum. I have seen prayers in other forums and have not seen anyone "pull the pin" because they were so outraged that they had to ignore a prayer that they did not like. Oddly, in the Religion forum of all places, a prayer is not to be allowed? Am I the only person that sees the irony in this? <- Oki doki, Diet Coke works. Don't get me wrong, I am having fun with this. I see it as trivial but i think you do not and it comes back to the right to not be offended comment. Political correctness is for people that have no balls. please let me try to explain - you seem smart and reasonable - if someone says a general prayer - fine. If they pray for themselves - fine. But to pray for someone who has already stated that he does not believe in your God smacks of proslytizing in my opinion. It is as if you are saying, you need MY God to protect you because what you believe is wrong. That is all I am saying. I agree with that statement. Personally, I would not have worded a prayer that way but I respect freedom of speech.I can go back to countless posts by non-Christians here that were WAY over the line and offensive to me but again, I do not have the right to not be offended. I have left threads many times because they were over the top for me and life is too short for me to let others affect my joy. It's all good. |

If you are stupid enough to walk in a mine field don't ask God to protect you from your own wanton stupidity. Free will. You chose to get into this discussion. Try the tolerance for others that you preach from your soap box. As hypocritical as it may seem.
Clearly you’re way out of the loop here. I wasn’t even talking about stupid forum posts. I’m talking about humanity at large. The proselytizing of Christianity (and other middle eastern religions) is causing worldwide tension that even members of the U.N. have recently shown grave concern over. I couldn’t care less what anyone says to me in a forum post. I’m talking about real world events, real bombs, real blood, real children being blown to pieces. That’s what the proselytizing of Christianity is provoking in this world. This is just so disrespectful
Probably this is not true for you, and that is fine. But for her and for many others is true. This isn’t true for anyone. It’s not open to belief. My originally question way “Why lie to proselytize Christianity?” To claim that Jesus’ Solitary Life was solely responsible for the religion is a lie. I don’t care whether you believe the religion is true or not. To claim that Jesus’ Solitary Life is responsible for it is a lie. Why proselytize Christianity using lies? What’s disrespectful about that question? It’s bad enough that the religion is being aggressively proselytized all over the world via the Internet. But to proselytize it using lies is truly evil. This is a brainwashing technique. Trying to get people to think that there is something so very special about Jesus that he was able to affect all of humanity so profoundly all on his own. Nothing could be further from the truth! And I don’t care whether you’re a believer or a non-believer, that doesn’t change this fundamental truth. So far no one has even answered the question? Why proselytize Jesus using lies? What’s wrong with the truth? Isn’t the truth good enough? When proselytizing becomes an underhanded scheme that stoops to lying for the sake of brainwashing people into believing things that aren’t true just to further its cause you can be absolutely certain that it has gotten off track. When does proselytizing a religion cross the line into becoming a ruthless obsession where anything goes? There’s no disrespect in asking this very legitimate question. People will come to the defense when they hear the name “Jesus” and they don’t even care if what they are defending is the biggest lie ever told. As long as “Jesus” name is attached to it they’ll back it up tooth an nail. That’s a war mongering religion with followers who are so blind they will question nothing! As long as they can chant “Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!” they’ll flock together to support anything. No matter how big of a lie it might be! It’s dangerous. |

Abra, I get so sick of reading your rambling nonsensical jibberish. Jesus could show up on your doorstep and hand you a silver brick and you would bi*ch that it wasn't gold. bi*ch bi*ch bi*ch. Go see a movie.

I have also adopted the motto !live and let live" as I am sure lots of others have.As much as I have enjoyed watching this debate and throwing in the odd rotten egg I have to leave, and so, I bid you all a Good Night |

Abra, I get so sick of reading your rambling nonsensical jibberish. Jesus could show up on your doorstep and hand you a silver brick and you would ***** that it wasn't gold. ***** ***** *****. Go see a movie. Gee, if you sick of reading my posts why do you bother? Do you have no self-control? As for Jesus, I'm sure if he came to my door he woudn't offer me a silver brick. He would know that I have no use for one. On the contrary he'd probably bring a lot of really great movies and we'd have the best of times watching them together. |

)............and the lies told to us that men have landed on the moon, yet mankind have bought this hook line and sinker.
I don’t see any wars brewing over debates about whether or not men went to the moon. I think most people would just say, “Hey, if you don’t want to believe it, then don’t” There’s no comparison here with the religious proselytizing that is inflaming tensions in the middle east, and all over the world. Religious wars are very real. Little children get killed and maimed (as do lots of adults). |
