Okay I am out for the night, I think, so continue on the self arguing(yellow, because I only keep clarifying my point and you do not unaddress my point at all so self arguing) and the hate fest ya'll want to start. You kept arguing that illegals were a problem and I agreed with you on several occasions so you were basically arguing with yourself. I think in some cases it's acceptable. I don't mind helping out people who need a hand due to special circumstances, but things are way out of control right now. I could improve my situation so much if I just went out & got pregnant! I'd pay no taxes, get food stamps, free medical care including dental, grants to weatherize my home, energy assistance, & WIC. I know a couple with 3 kids & they have so much more than I do! They won't use birth control, & they get more benifits for each child they have. But what they recieve is still not enough to support a child on. They are still living in poverty. They have a boat, 2 cars , a motercycle, a snowmobile, eat out more than I do, smoke... They have far more than I do! Oh, Hen, then they're getting money from some place else too. I have known people on welfare that don't have enough money to feed their kids. A boat, 2 cars, etc. - they have to be getting more money on the side from someplace else. That is, unless they had their toys before they starting receiving welfare. They buy the toys with the huge tax "refund " they get. |

Many hardworking families are only a paycheck away from being homeless. All it would take is one medical emergency. This is true. |

Many hardworking families are only a paycheck away from being homeless. All it would take is one medical emergency. It is there for people that fall on hard times. They want to feed their children. Imagine if you had a stroke and were no longer able to work and all of your money went for the care of you. You were the breadearner and you have children. What would you do? This situation is what assistance is for && I have no problem with this. |
