then you are much luckier than many.. what scares me is what's on the horizon for my grandchildren.. I've got 5 now.. but what's their world gonna look like when they become adults?? I've always hoped I'd leave the world in a little better condition than when I got it.. I've tried (and still am).. I'm working with the government on improving the enviornment, to maybe make their lives better.. and with my local municipality to help those in my community whose needs seem to fall on deaf ears.. of course I've peeved off some (usually those in the 1%).. but my actions have also encouraged others to stand up and make a difference too.. however that sometimes proves to be difficult cuz some folks would rather b*tch and complain than get off their azz's and BE the change.. yet.. that's not stopping me from doing what I feel I NEED ta do.. it's like voting.. ya can't complain about those who get elected if ya don't vote.. just sayin.. |

Always fun, astrology, and if you got good info extremely accurate!! I'm a Taurus. Description is not entirely correct. Taurus generally is not outgoing at all, let alone extremely outgoing. Taurus is more like "my home is my castle!" The stubborn thing is one that's always mentioned but actually isn't correct either. And I found out a few years ago that Capris are extremely stubborn! The most stubborn people of the entire zodiac! Was the same with all the Capri friends I have had throughout life (most of my friends). Taurus is not like that at all. in my experience all the Taurus' I've known.. and I've known several close family'n friends.. have been very outgoing, opinionated, think they know EVERYthing, are argumentative, judgemental and VERY stubborn.. As for Capricorns.. my brother'n gf (my best friend for 45 yrs) were both Capricorns.. and neither were stubborn at all.. so I guess different people have differnt perceptions & experiences of those in their lives.. it could also just be different interactions between differing zodiac signs.. |

the LOUD part  missing the "funny as heck" part tho.. 
Funny part of that is to me everyday we need to laugh and cut up....There is always something to laugh about even if I'm laughing at myself... I'm the only woman at work and love it.. I must say men are much easier to joke & cut up with and don't get all bent out of shape.. They know they can say anything around me for I will come back at them in a heart beat.. I do have a bit of a sassy attitude tho... 
I found that as well when I was working in the retail industry.. men had a better sense of humor than women.. or maybe I just have a weird(shall we say different) sense of humor.. but agree.. have ta laugh.. life sucks as it is.. need SOME joy daily or we'd go bonkers
and yes.. you have a VERY sassy Attitude..

Everyone is different... myself I don't see the first meet as anything but a meet and greet.. That is why I prefer to go dutch first meet... 
There is no US thang~~ for Women all over the world decides when they are going to sleep with a man or if they expect a man to dig into his wallet ..One that implies it is only US Women that does that, needs to do their research.. I agree... there is no "typical" US or CA thang.. as you said TG.. every woman makes their own decisions.. at least those I know of in Canada do not typically go to dinner on a first date.. it's usually a meet'n greet at a local Tim Horton's.. this way if there is no "spark" ya don't get stuck with the other for long and each pays for their own.. personally I'd hate to sit thru an awkward meal with someone I did NOT like or click with.. I also agree that people shouldn't presume to know (or judge) how others live or act, outside their own back yard.. |

Is the present better than the past, do you think the future will be better than the present? What are your thoughts? It's difficult to say actually.. there are things from the past that are better than today and will probably be better than tomorrow.. IMO things like appliances (to give an example) the quality of those in the past far outlast those built today and will probably still have lasted longer than those of tomorrow.. today's ideology by corporations are focused on greed.. "how can we make more money than those who built/created these in the past" and the answer seemed simple... make things "disposable".. everything SEEMS to be built with a specific length of durability, in order to resell to the same clients after a shorter 'life' span than those built by their predecessors.. with the introduction of technology (ie: electronics) like computers, motherboards, pcb's etc.. the tech has a much shorter life span thus creating repeat business by having a cut off date of approx 5 yrs.. point of note, look at your own computer/laptop/mobile phone, the tech and upgrades are endless, the OS alone are obsolete faster than the actual machined parts can break down YET the new OS requires different "upgraded" parts to function.. whereas I've had a maytag washer/dryer set that lasted over 25 years yet today.. those same sets (with electronics mind you) last about 5 yrs and often have to be repaired long before that yet after their 1 year covered warranty.. keeping corporations in business yet not costing them much in after sales service.. it's a win-win for those greedy b'tards.. that and of course, creating their own competition by buying theirs out.. thus brings me, IMO, to the conclusion that the future, with these greedy folks (the 1%) at the helm, looks pretty bleak for us regular joes.. where prices will continue to rise, salaries will continue to be low balled or stagnate altogether (OR AI will take all the jobs) thus lining the 1%'s pockets, and the 'middle class' will be completely obliterated.. also.. let's not forget that with the expected age limits being much higher than centuries ago.. people live longer now, so with the population growing (regardless of the amount being born) it puts a huge stress on our sustainability.. we may not have enough food etc to allow a birth boom.. and if you factor in the rising water levels and recent loss of landmass.. we could be putting ourselves in a serious "over" population position where quality of life will be lost to quantity of people.. the speculation from the scientific community has largely been that 8 billion people would be the maximum sustainable world population.. any more than that and we could put our own 'current' way of life at a much greater risk.. however these numbers were offered long before the recent risks of higher sea levels.. in other words.. a larger population will end in poverty and famine with less place to live.. with a huge loss of much needed forestation and a greater tax on our already depleting fresh water supplies.. in summary.. the future looks pretty bleak indeed!! |
