Definitions of freedom on the Web:

* the condition of being free; the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints


Freedom isn't something that can be described because it is different to every individual person. Everybody is free. They have the choice to do anything they want, it's whether or not they want to suffer the consequences of that choice. Every choice has an effect on something. Cause and effect.

Such as, the Army does not protect your freedom. It protects the consequences of your choices from being changed by some other foreign nation. It's kinda like accepting the lesser of two evils.

I would honestly rather the truth. Why waste someones time with a lie?

There are a lot of females on here I started talking to and it seems we both decided to just stop messaging because we realized that we are two different people with nothing really in common. However if you keep trying you can find the one that is almost the same person as you and maybe that conversation will keep going until something more comes out of it. At least that is what has happened to me. I'm talking to a wonderful woman right now and whats better is that I never would have expected to find it on this site.

I'm curious what kinda shop you got in the FQ? One of the strip shops?

Another memorable moment was me finally finding my little sister from my biological dad. I had never met him, but when he died I did go to his funeral when I met my sister, but after the funeral I never saw anybody from that side of the family again until about 6-7 years later I started looking for her online while I was in Iraq and I managed to find her. Now she is in the Airforce. =)

Yeah, but that's NO. Hell, you have to be careful even driving around there. I know I won't be going back until I finish my concealed handgun license here in Texas. Walking around without protection in NO is like walking around naked and bleeding in a closed off room full of starving lions...

I'll second this. It's true people like that exist no matter their job title.

French Quarter? Cmon everybody in Louisiana knows that NO is not the place to be living right now. That's why my home is in Denham Springs. BR is getting pretty bad also.

Without evil the good would never exist and vice versa. Take a look at what people do and how they really react and you will realize there are only two true emotions. Love and fear, every other emotion stems from these two. A guy fears he won't be able to make a payment on something, and kills another person trying to satisfy that fear. It sucks yeah, but its necessary for to keep the world going.


All you can really do is show someone some love to balance it out.

LOL. Usually Army guys only use the Army sympathy trying to get laid. I've seen it work sooo many times as long as the city you are in isn't near a military base. That's also probably why you didn't hear from him again. You told him it wasn't gonna work so he moved on. I'm just an honest person though, that's just how some guys are.

Alright, I'm going insane with bordem. Most of my friends deployed recently to Iraq with other units. I have some friends here but they are really more like acquaintances. I'm looking for ideas of things to do in these areas. Single person things.. Never really been single at any point in my life so right now everything is blah. I hate being inside all the time doing nothing. Let the ideas flood!

If my wife asked me that I would leave and come back with a broom, mop, some dirty clothes, and just say, "Well, you asked, now get to work!" ..

Nothing, if someone really catches my eye I don't hesitate to send an email. If they reply great. I had one reply and we talked for a few messages, 4-5 and it turns out I didn't really like her attitude or the way she presented herself so I stopped emailing. Best part about the internet is it really is just that simple.

lol? Sure, I wish I was spoiled, because watching buddies die in other countries where the people are so dumb that they can't even aim a mortar correctly makes me an American "Soldier" a spoiled brat. Sorry if I took that the wrong way, I get edgy when people say anything bad about Americans in general.

The only things that work in life are what you make work. Nobody is going to create something and make it work for you, you have to do that yourself. Just my opinion.
