Texas Republican House Representative Giovanni Capriglione's HB1938 and Texas Republican Senator Dan Patrick's SB1128 have introduced bills that will no longer allow Mexican American History, African American History, or Women's History to count towards History requirements for a Texas degree, the way they do now. This will effectively destroy Ethnic Studies Programs in Texas. Learn More

so? people can still study it if they want, just not a requirement... can't really see your nazi influence here...

I just like tweeking you guys, let me look for something else that will get your goat.

the heat and the guns alone are actually enough to disinterest me,,,,

California's interior can get quite hot.

Also, do you have a problem with Americans exercising their right as stated by the Second Amendment?

yes, I have a problem being surrounded by so many weapons,,,

and california has some places with very moderate temps, not aware of such a place in texas....but I could be wrong,,,

No problem being surrounded by gang-bangers with war-style auto-fire weapons but, skeered of law abiding citizens.

But, ya'll right. Texas is no place for liberals. It's hot, nasty and dusty.

All the plants, insects and animals either want to bite, stick or sting ya'

So, please, stay away.

And, thanks fer doing so.rofl rofl

Silence of Death

tell me if you can hear the screaming
coming from the silence of death
after all i can see it
in the reflection of your own eyes
as the tears slide out of anothers body
dreaming no, im listening to the screaming

shaking hands with the devil
temprature cant describe the coldness
as eyes are burning hotter than fire
pure wwickedness, wreckless, hopeless
all coming from the silence of death

the voices used to be crystal clear
now they are just whispering, screaming
fadeing into the dark night
when everything seemed to be right, I
hear the silence of death screaming

allways at me when i try to be free
they haunt me as i attempt to flee
as far away from the circle of evil
pain stings through me like a needle
can't stop the silence of death screming
because touching hidden spirits of another
feels as I'm shaking hands with the devil

Barry Bonds is not a choice here ?

Barry Bonds (1986-present)
Position: Leftfielder
Greatest Moment: Home run No. 71, breaking Mark McGwire's single season record.

Why he's the greatest: Bonds has already passed his godfather Mays on the all-time home run leader list. Bonds is approaching 700 homers and the totals that Ruth and Aaron posted. Doping controversy aside, Bonds is certain to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He's won six NL MVP awards. Despite his awesome career home run total, he's only led the NL in homers twice. In 2002, he led the league in hitting with an average of .370.

The only thing missing for Bonds is a World Series championship ring. He did have his chance as the San Francisco Giants made it to the Series in 2002; however, they lost to the Anaheim Angels in seven games. Even without the all-time home run record, Bonds was an easy choice for the top spot on this list. Love him or hate him, you have to admit he's the game's most electrifying player and feared hitter.

So Ted Williams comes in as the second choice...

Ted Williams (1939-1960)
Position: Leftfielder
Greatest Moment: Hitting home run No. 500 against the Cleveland Indians on June 17, 1960.

Why he's one of the greatest: Many consider Williams the greatest hitter in the modern era. He was a two-time winner of the Triple Crown and AL MVP. He batted .406 in 1941; that contributed to his lifetime batting average of .344. The 17-time All-Star won six batting championships.

Williams wasn't just a good contact hitter; he had impressive power, blasting 521 career home runs.

PLAY BALL !
biggrin /
barry bonds is out, he's a roid junkie..

when I was going up the pastor at the church we went used to say "don't ask a Christian how a Christian should live, ask a sinner how a Christian should live". I always thought that was pretty good...
