I plan on getting a tattoo in March. It will be to celebrate (yes that's right) the 1 year anniversary of my divorce. It's going to be a dragon with fairy wings. For me it will be a symbol of the changes I've gone through since then and the strength I've devloped as a result.

I hate "Darlin"
My ex-father in law decided to share the charming little joke of "When I wake up, I just roll over and say 'Good morning, Darlin' they way I don't have to worry about getting her name wrong." Has made me cringe to hear it ever since. |

It's 36 degrees with a light dusting of snow. I think we've seen about as much snow as we are going to get for the winter.
Of course, just to be on the safe side I just bought a Jeep. |

It could take a couple of months to get the full benefit of the meds and my doctor cautioned against stopping them in the winter. He said that the shorter (darker) days can make people more depressed, and it would be easier to wait until the warmer (sunnier) weather was around. Of course, I do live in Washington, and it is always dark and grey here.

I'm a huge fan of the DragonLance series, especially those books written by the orginal authors, Margaret Wies and Tracy Hickman. My absolute favorite is Soulforge.

I do love the water. But it said I'm ugly. It's a good thing I only believe about half of what these things ever say. Guess we all know which half I'm picking. |

Darwinism. That's the problem with the gene pool. There is no lifeguard. I'd volunteer if I thought it would help. |

Have you talked with your doctor about your concerns? I was also very reluctant to go on meds so we had a plan formed for me to eventually get off of them before I ever took my first pill.

It's the simple fact that the man should be in the dominate roll of the relationship. I'm sure this all goes back to before cars were even invented. That's why I say that it's ingrained into me. Back in the day, women didn't drive horse and carriage. Mean did. Even if it was just a driver the driver most most always man from what I have seen and read in wonderful fictitious books. see I think he should be dominant in bed 50% of the time the kitchen belongs to me, don't touch it unless you're grilling something...don't touch my car unless I tell you too You can drive as long as your not drunk please don't mess with the laundry you'll screw something up...same reason why I stay away from your power tools, I have my own if I need to get something done and your not around yes you will be required to mow the lawn... This girl sounds like a "keeper" to me! It sounds like you could be a "keeper" too. |

I didn't take Zoloft; it was a different anti-depressent, but here is my experience on it anyway:
Only you can tell how you are feeling, so for your doctor, it is pretty much a trial-and-error process to get the meds right. It might take a little bit of time to get things balanced correctly, but stick with it and you will feel so much better in the end. In my experience, a drink every once in a while didn't hurt, but I made sure that my body adjusted to everything before I attempted that. My depression, while severe, was diagnosed as situational, so once the meds started working I was able to get a better sense of my life and the changes I needed to make, and after about 2 years, I was able to stop taking it. And yes, it was something that I discussed with my doctor before hand. I recommend seeing a therapist too, they can help you make informed descisions, and help you build your coping skills as well. As for the sex drive: Mine actually went up. I think the improvement in my mood made a bigger difference than the side effect of the medication. Now I just need to find someone to play with that will put up with my crazy a$$ self. Good luck! It's not an easy decision. |
