I grew up in Colorado, riding and working on a ranch for a while, "dude" still means a "city slicker" to me. ohwell

Only my son uses it. I have this dislike for the term "Pops". Dad or even my real name is much easier for me to cope with.

I hate "Darlin"

My ex-father in law decided to share the charming little joke of "When I wake up, I just roll over and say 'Good morning, Darlin' they way I don't have to worry about getting her name wrong."

Has made me cringe to hear it ever since.
